she has the same plastic surgeon doctor than Lindsay Lohan (look her lip)

  • happybdaynickcarter

Guess the cover is an allusion to her ‘bee stung’ lips?

  • imnottellingyoumyname

That’s not the russian magazine, it’s german! LOL

  • Mlllllle

Cool cover’s idea….I can feel the sting on my lips.

  • nick

I don’t know why people don’t like her. Her lips are probably fake, but who cares? She’s different and has a distinct persona and style making her interesting. Her music is sensational as well.

  • sdf

    She sounded great!

  • vlue

hate bu**hole lips like this. they look sloppy and like the girls breath stank. Not cute.

  • Katharina

    That’s GERMAN not RUSSIAN. wow….

  • Sara12

What do her lips have to do with anything? She’s not trying to be a model, she’s a singer. Base your opinions of her on her music (which is great) not her looks.

  • Trill

@nick: I think some may not like her because she has said her persona has been created by a team. It doesnt make her very relatable.

  • MBP

    @Trill: But it
makes her honest. She just tells it how it is.
That’s what she has proven throughout this whole shot to fame – honesty. She is just herself and when she is insecure (which everybody is at times), she just is. That makes her a role model acutally.

  • Charlie

@Trill: I think that people are criticising her because she said she was born with full lips which is obviously a lie, so people felt like betrayed I guess. But then again, people would have probably judged her if she came out and said it too. So either way you’re screwed. However, personally I think that coming clean is always a good idea. I don’t think surgery is that big of a deal, not unless you change your whole appearance and become Heidi Montag. Slightly increasing the size of your lips to me is not a big deal. But that’s just me.

  • Mlllllle

I said what I said in a good way.
I love her music and her lyrics, and I don’t give a sh.t about the rest, music is all that maters..people who loves fake singers for the physical aspect are lame.

  • W1

@Sara12: Except she IS trying to be a model. She just signed with NEXT modeling agency. JustJared posted the news himself. You can do a search and it’ll come up.

  • Anonymous

She is amazing. A fresh breath to the crazy music world where we keep modernizing and modernizing everything. I am a huge fan of the 60s. When she (Lana) came with that album, I was like “thnx God”…
I am a hardcore fan of hers ever since I saw “Born to Die”.. Her music is like CRACK…

  • nah

sh!t face. sh!t lame music revival from the 70′s. see you on another day or better never. :/

  • nah

    that’s some lullaby music.

  • lola

She seems so made. Like a group of execs got together and styled her and decided what her look and personality would be.
Also, I liked the whole mopey pretty girl thing better when Fiona Apple did it.

  • the_boyfriend

    her album is brilliant.

  • >

Lizzie Grant became a monumental flop, she underwent intense retooling including: A new name (which was assigned to her by her label), plastic surgery, a new musical style, a new image and a new marketing strategy….. & thus Lana Del Rey an artificial creation was born!!

  • 21

i dont see an issue with reinventing your self – madonna does it with every album and lady gaga went from wearing a leotard to wearing meat dresses – so who really cares – u do what u have to to get noticed – her music is great and shes beautiful -

  • Sandrine

Jared, this is German Interview’s maiden issue. It’s not Russian Interview.

  • j

To be fair her Russian Interview cover came out first and looks the same, it’s less zoomed in though.

I hate when smaller countries feel the need of having their own editons of succesful international magazines. you would think that condé naste would have learned from previous attempts of establishing vanity fair germany for example. v spain is another fail and so will be dutch vogue. if they don’t even bother to come up with original content they are lost already.

russiana and german first issue with basically the same cover editorial? no thanks.

It’s not only her lips, it’s more like… everything. Three or four of her songs are nice but she seems so fake and the only thing that’s saving her is the tone of her voice because-let’s face it- she can’t sing anything else. I also think that she desperately tries to be seen as the new Florence Welsh (from Florence + the Machine) with that whole “British, low tone, harp” thing but she’ll never be able to do half of what Florence’s capable of.

  • formula

She’s artsy so the hipsters will like her. She’s pretty so the masses will like her. Magazines and blogs keep telling the world how great she is, so the people who go for the trends will like her. She has a different way of singing so the critics will like her.The formula is obvious and it works.

They basically took Florence Welsh, Adele, and went hmm, why aren’t they as big as *insert super pop stars name* and said “oh yeah, she needs to be more commonly pretty”. Not that Adele and Florence aren’t both gorgeous but it’s a beauty that isn’t for the average cheese head.

  • Cheeze

    Nose Job.

  • Mikel Johnsan

    That is the GERMAN cover.

  • Sandrine

Russian Interview’s cover is colored so I don’t think it should be mistaken for German Interview even if they have the same cover image.

  • @21

Madonna doesn’t straight up change her name and make herself unrecognizable when she reinvents herself.

  • 21

@@21: maybe not – she has just tries equally as hard to not age and therefore loses her authenticity just as much – so whats really authentic?
