    kiki Says:

    so glad clooney and pitt lost. sick of both of them and jean dujardin had the more earnest performance anyway. also i loved how meryl and viola supported each other as friends.

    @kiki:
    By saying, “…the more earnest performance…” you imply that you saw ALL the performances. From the tone of your comment I doubt that. Sort of disqualifies your opinion on what is deserving.

    Wooo Hooo and Omigod! I am beyond thrilled for Viola and Octavia. They truly deserve this award. They gave extraordinary performances in “The Help.” Now that was a great movie.

    i think that the help deserved it and im still very much shocked that emma stone did not get any kind of recongnition for her part. she did amazing. but the support actresses did amazing as well. and ryan gosling should have gotten a nom at least and jonah hill deserved best actor. he did a great job.

    Ginger Says:

    to UGH

    yes, the cast of The Help was very good. however, i believe that award for best cast should have gone to Let’s Talk about Kevin.

    Mary Says:

    Michael Fassbander should have been nominated for Best Actor for Shame and Albert Brooks should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Drive. both men were robbed.

    I watched The Help, and I think Viola was good, but not outstanding to win this. Octavia deserves the award no doubt.

    MovieFan Says:

    I realy dont understand this. Brad and George do great movies, they are great actors, no matter what movie they do. and they do it for more than 20 years. and then, there are some nobodys, not far as good as pitt and clooney, and they get the attention and the awards just because of ONE good performance and the next years, we wont hear anything about them but there will be still pitt and clooney and again at the at awards with great performances and great movies to fight againgst nobodys. Why? because life is not fair. Pitt and Clooney get to much attention with their private lifes, so maybe the jurores are sick of them and does not want to see them as the winners. its sad. the same goes with leonardo di caprio and sean penn. they are outstanding but when did leo get an oscar? he deserves 10!!! sean penn, he was nominated for an osscar i guess a million times but he never got one, now he has one but he deserves 10 and it took way too many years untill he got his!!! sean and leo are the best actors by far!!!!

    i just cant take these award shows serious! they are ridiculous!

    I liked Octavia’s dress on her. I know some didn’t, but I thought it was so elegant.

    Pinata Says:

    I think the stage that octavia was standing on when she recieved her award should also get an award…for “best supporting flooring”—hollywood pinata. com

    Jared Says:

    I have never seen boardwalk empire I’m sure it’s a good show however breaking bad should have won for best drama cast and actor.
