Elizabeth Olsen gets in touch with nature on the cover of Asos‘ March 2012 issue.
Here’s what the 22-year-old actress, who rocked a MiH jacket and an Elizabeth & James blouse on the cover, had to share:
On growing up with famous sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley: “I did lead a very charmed life growing up, but I was aware of the things that were abnormal. The only time I flew first-class as a kid was when my sisters did these cruises called ‘Sail With The Stars.’ They were the main event…other than that, never.”
On her relationship with her sisters: “Mary-Kate and Ashley have celebrated my birthday with me every year since I’ve been in New York, my last four birthdays, and it’s been so special. Or when you have a fight with a boyfriend or a friend, or whatever, they’re here.”
On Martha Marcy May Marlene: “Every script [I was sent] was funny ironic because the girls were sluts or b*tches…I don’t know how to act that. I have a really hard time playing those parts. [Martha] felt like doing real work, and that’s why I liked it…it was the best experience I’ve ever had working.”
On her favorite food: “[Brussels Sprouts] I am obsessed with them.”

They helped you celebrate only after you moved to NY? Hmmmm Couldnt fly back home when you lived at home to help you celebrate? Sounds like they put fame before family and only cared when you started living around the block. Sorry but my family helps me celebrate in some way every year….thats so weird. I can’t stand her sister anyway. They give this ‘emo’ vibe. Why so serious?
She looks older than 22…like late 20s older
I really love her. She’s super talented and seems smart and down-to-earth.
Hm … don’t know how to act a b…. or a sl..? Well – and I thought acting was about being able to play any character and not only the ones that are similar to one’s own character. I hated Marcy May yadayada, in part because EO was in it! No good acting, not at all.

the first class trip, she was slumming it.
If she isn’t careful she’s going to get type-cast as the ‘go to’ girl for screamer flicks… however good she is at them.

@JoD: I actually liked her in the movie, thought she was great. However I agree with the first part, a good actress is able to portray any character, not just the ones which resemble us. That is what distinguishes great actors from good ones.
@Charlie: I agree but no one ever said she was a good actress. Also, she can choose any role she wants to do.
She must get really sick of always being asked about her sisters. It sucks to not have your own identity.
I haven’t seen any of her movies, so I can’t say if she is a good actreess or not, but she’s beautiful and I agree when they say she looks older, but really pretty
