Jennifer Hudson and Chaka Khan will perform a tribute to late singer Whitney Houston at tomorrow night’s 2012 Grammy Awards.

The ladies will hit the stage during the show to honor the singer who passed away at the age of 48 on Saturday (February 11), according to ET.

Whitney was expected to attend and perform at Clive Davis‘ annual pre-Grammy gala tonight.

I want to Christina Aguilera no Hudson

# 2

I think they should get Adele and maybe Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, and Beyonce to perform as well.

But even though all of these women have amazing voices, no one could do it like Whitney. Her voice was truly one of a kind.

# 3

none of those singers would be around if it weren’t for Whitney ^

Jennifer Hudson is CRAP. Pick someone who is a real artist not just famous for being a loser on American Idol and for losing weight. Pick Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilara, Beyonce, or even Madonna.

I think it’s a very nice thing that Jennifer and Chaka Khan are doing, they are probably going to be up all night rehearsing, THAT is a sign of a true fan right there. Say what you want about Jennifer but you can’t deny she has vocal ability which is unfortunately rare in music now with the use of computers and auto tune. Jennifer actually can sing the songs that she records on her albums and I think that is something people need to appreciate her for is not giving into being more “radio friendly” and actually stick to what a musician is all about, THE MUSIC and NOT the #1′s.

It would be great for Jennifer Hudson and Christina to do a tribute. Whitney made it known that she liked them both. You guys need to really stop with the hate!

Hope Charice will be part of the Grammy tribute to Whitney Houston. She can do justice to any Whitney songs –

I wonder if Jennifer Hudson will mention her weight loss during the tribute? #fraud #lapbandsurgery

I couldn’t agree more with those who said Jennifer Hudson is NOT up to the task giving Whitney a proper tribute. I can’t stand her uncontrolled belting. Nowhere near the caliber of singer required. So yes, Christina or Mariah please. I guess Patti or Faith Evans or Kelli Price aren’t big enough stars, which is too bad — because they CAN sing and were respected by Whitney.

Absolutely no Jennifer Hudson! She is not worthy to sing a Whitney Houston song. She is absolute crap! I am disgusted that they would want her to sing.

CK yes, JH no @ 02/12/2012 at 12:42 am

Chaka Kahn, I agree. Jennifer Hudson, no thanks.

Not Christina @ 02/12/2012 at 12:46 am

Christina A. is talented but she overkills a song. I can’t stand a showoff. Whitney had control and killed a song without the overkill. Mariah would be good choice.

I wonder if Clive Davis was supplying Whitney with drugs?

Where’s Katy, Britney, Miley and Kesha?

This is legit like having Justin Beiber sing a tribute to Micheal Jackson!

Excellent!!! I’m really looking forward to that though I’m really sad that whitney passed away, often imitated never duplicated:(

I don’t know why but I really wouldn’t want jennifer hudson do a whitney song either. I’m surprised at how much I agree with most of the posts here…

let the girls do that, its better they can do to her memory!

Charice will bring the house down! Ask David Foster who he thinks will give justice to Whitney!

For all those saying no to Jennifer need to get your ears checked..Who else is gonna do and at least halfway pull it off?…Aguilera..haha..please..Hudson has already sang “I Will Always Love You” for Whitney and nailed it. Obviously you are all tone deaf.

It should have also included Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey. As both were praised by Whitney. Christina when she did her tribute to Whitney at the BET 2001 awards and she loved it. and thanked her Mariah since Whitney and her did a song together back in the day. Such a loss in music today.

i also would like to see charice do the tribute. she always sings whitney songs at DFF concerts.

@Not Christina: Well that’s her technique. And FYI, there’s a live performance of Christina that she did aroung ’98 or 2000 at the BET Awards where she sang “I turn to you” or something, and by the end of it, Whitney herself said something like “this is the best rendition after mine”. Which is right lol. Even Whitney aknowleged that Christina is amazing. So please stop with the hate, Christina is one of a kind too. I think a tribute from her would be great too. UGH. I woke up this morning with this horrible news that my mom told me and I still can’t believe it. RIP Whitney those vocals will always blow us away<3
