Adele's Grammys Performance - Watch Now!

Adele belts out her smash hit, “Rolling in the Deep,” at the 2012 Grammy Awards held at Staples Center on Sunday (February 12) in Los Angeles.

Earlier in the evening, the 23-year-old English songstress received a standing ovation after winning Best Pop Solo Performance for “Someone Like You.”

“I should take my shoes off. I’m too tall for this … I can’t believe I’m getting emotional already,” Adele said during her acceptance speech. “I need to thank my doctors who brought my voice back.”

During the telecast, Adele also picked up the Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Short Form Music Video Awards!

the only good part about the grammys!!

now, all we have to do is convince Babara Broccoli that she should sing the title song for James Bond Skyfall.

Adele is awesome! She simply represent what great music is about, great song, great voice. She is also very charismatic. I think very few of the artists popular today are in her league.

WOW. Adele was absolutely amazing! She’s so beautiful! I’m glad she’s back on the scene again! Her voice is just so moving.. so powerful. I’ve always admired her for her grace and for the simplicity of her performance. Pure talent is truly effortless!!! YOU GO ADELE!!!

<3<3 LOVE Adele<3<3 She has such a pure beautiful voice and I love all her songs. It's nice to hear someone that doesn't rely on auto tuning or gimmicks to sell albums. Also I think she is beautiful and how a woman should look, not all stick thin like a walking skeleton or carrot stick. Keep making beautiful music Adele but take care of your voice. I loved your interview with 60 minutes tonight before the Grammys. You are an amazing young woman my dear so don't change. It's refreshing to see a young woman wearing modest clothes and not feel they have to prance around stage half naked or in skin tight tacky outfits. We love you Adele<3<3<3<3

Adele was amazing tonight! She deserved every single Grammy she got tonight and I can’t wait to see what she’s got for us in the future. She’s so talented and pretty! God Bless you and your marvelous voice Adele.

Great performance, I listen to her songs a lot and every time I hear it I get all choked up. Even more so when she sings live..wow endless admiration for her. You rock Adele

@Sarah.: I totally agree, that is what makes her so darn talented.

Congratulations Adele!!!! – I loved your singing and performance and the clarity of your rich, wonderful voice is still rolling through my head. It was so wonderful to be able to watch you and not the light shows….. sometimes too much strips away the beauty and essence of the artists and does not allow to witness their passions and emotions. You make singing look so easy and effortlessly and you inspire me. I love to sing but have not found the courage to go take singing lessons – my car, home and walking are my outlets. God Bless you in your journey and much light and healing are being sent to you. Humans need to become more mindful to care for hearts with kindness, respect, and gentleness. You will soar to great heights! If you ever tour to Vancouver BC I will absolutely come and see your performance! Namaste

@A:
She had throat surgery not that long ago. She did amazing for having sung that song LIVE so soon after surgery. Hudson is nowhere NEAR the level of whitney and never will be. Compared to hudsons live performance where she isnt lip singing ( yes all artists have done it at some point or another) adele blew her out of the water. Either way adele and hudsons styles of singing could not be further apart.

I know it’s her 1st time back from surgery but she was real pitchy tonight. Shes sang this song much better live in past performances. Blame the long layoff

A M A Z I N G!!!!!!!!!!!

This was up for awards! That’s why she sang it — are you kidding me? Everyone wanted to hear this one!

What a performance and 6 grammys, now that’s something! I’m sure it was hard to come back on stage after the surgery, but she did it! Check homepage for more.

if she was black, she would have walked away empty handed. these american awards shows/ tv shows are making their messages clearer and clearer. BLACKOUT

Pure talent! Its refreshing to see a female artist who does not need to be like a lot of female singers who have to wear practicly nothing to perform.She looked stunning,sounded amazing just belting out that fantastic voice

@harhar:

You obviously don’t know much about the grammys. Although I do think Adele deserved the awards, the Grammys are known for giving awards to “safe” album of the year–mainstream music. And if you look at blacks that have won the Album of the Year–they did so with very mainstream albums (which almost all the winners have had).
Rap, blues, jazz (which typically have a lot of Black musicians) rarely win any album of the year awards. For God’s sake Toto won in 1983 for their lame album. The album of the year generally isn’t known for being bestowed on the most talented and the best album.

Michael Jackson – Thriller
Stevie Wonder – Inner Visions and a second one for Songs in the Key of Life
Lionel Richie-Can’t Slow Down
Quincy Jones – Back on the Block
Natalie Cole – Unforgettable
Whitney Houston – Bodyguard
OutKast-Speakerboxxx
Ray Charles – Genius
Lauryn Hill – Miseducation
Herbie Hancock – River

And THAT is how it is DONE! You go Adele! Love you!!

Adele is a unique talent and I’m glad to see she’s singing again. Since her vocal hemmorhage, I’m sure she is working on correcting her singing technique, but in this Grammy performance I had to cringe a few times at how she still abuses her voice by forcing. Probably not noticeable to non-singers….but she needs to preserve her gift by treating it right! I hope she finds a way to adjust soon!

Adele has done her share of “just screaming” which is basically poor vocal technique. It has contributed to her recent problems. Having said that, she does have a special talent and she has to un- learn some bad vocal habits and learn to work WITH her gift, not against it. She’s a very young singer with a long career ahead of her if she corrects the problem now.
