Clive Davis Holds Moment of Silence for Whitney Houston

Clive Davis speaks onstage during his annual pre-Grammy gala held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday (February 11) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 79-year-old Chief Creative Officer of Sony Music Entertainment came out and said some nice words about Whitney Houston, then held a moment of silence before dedicating the night to her.

Tony Bennett opened the show. His first line was “we need to legalize drugs” in this country! Whitney was originally slated to open the show before she passed away earlier in the day at the age of 48.

Also pictured inside at the party: Britney Spears with Kim Kardashian, Alicia Keys with husband Swizz Beatz, Kelly Rowland, and Serena Williams with Gladys Knight.
