When was the last time someone won record, song, and album of the year?

I watched, but was disappointed in the show. I couldn’t tell that one of the most successful women in music history had just died the day before…I’d hoped for more of an honor for her…oh well….hope they had fun at the party the night before, while her body was three floors above.. :( RIP beautiful lady.

I watched to see if they’d honor Whitney, but was disappointed. That’s why the ratings were high, a lot of people tuned in expecting to see a respectable tribute Whitney Huston.

I thought the show was awful. it dragged. They wasted too much time paying tribute to The Beach Boys. They gave Nicki Minaj too much time. They gave Coldplay too much time. If they would’ve shortened those acts just a little, shaved some time, they could have done something more for Whitney. If LL Cool J had shaved off a minute or tewo. And why did Chris Brown perform twice? Why did they need to put Carrie Underwood on with Tony Bennett? That was his worse duet. They could have eliminated him altogether and had more time for Whitney. I know the peopl who would have done right by Whitney weren’t there. Jennifer Hudson did a great job, but they could have done more. They could’ve had Alicia Keyes, Bonnie Raitt, and Jennifer along with a few others, sing a medley of Whitney and some of Etta James and done something lovely.

It’s not something to rave about eps when people tuned in to see tributes that would be epic like of Etta James and Whitney Houston. Both failed with it. I didn’t like it either that on the memorial pics of the celebs who past they didn’t include Etta James. She won 3 grammys and was legend in her own right. I was disgusted with the Grammys this year.

Adele + Whitney

I thought for the most part the Grammys was pretty entertaining. It was recognised early on in the show about Whitney H. and a beautiful prayer was said. Jennifer Hudson did a beautiful rendition of I Will Always Love You in Whitneys honor. Quite a few people mentioned her thru-out the show in loving and respectful comments. I was hoping that it Wouldnt turn in to the Whitney Houston Memorial show and it didnt. I think it was done Just Right. I Dont understand why Chris Brown got to do 2 musical numbers, didnt agree w that. Didnt really get the whole mouse eared guy musical number. Glen Campbell and Beach Boys numbers were well done and kinda fun. DID NOT watch Nicky”Ugh” Minaj-not my cuppa tea at all. To me the high point of the night (besides songbird Adele doing so well) was the Paul McCartney song at the end of the show- it was fantastic!! Well carried out, sounded great and everyone was having a blast- including me!!

I thought it was terrible. It didn’t seem like they had real big stars on the red carpet. I like to get star- struck while watching the grammys and it just didn’t happen. Really boring.

Adele was worth it she is sooo beautiful unlike Minaj and Madonna and their Evil Black Mass to Baphomet and pentagrams on her crotch.

Tuned in to see a Whitney tribute and of course, Adele. I’d give the show a 6 out of 10.

The show had just the right amount of tributes to Whitney Houston. This is an award show honoring the music awardees of the year. If people are expecting a longer tribute to Whitney they should request and/or pressure any of the networks to do ‘A Tribute to Whitney’ special.

Ignoring Etta James, though, is a major insult to one of the greatest singers of all time.

Adele is soooooooooo A W E S O M E !

ADELE + WHITNEY…amy won record, song and album of the year i think!!!

the pre-show (annoying idiots on E!) milked her passing and it annoyed the sh*t out of me.. anyway, glad adele won – i wouldnt expect anything less.. altho award shows have been known to get it wrong – everytime.

I was sad to see also, no big tribute to whitney but Jennifer Hudson did an amazing job singing her song..

I was so happy for Adele, finally someone with real talent wins.

Adele was awesome! Love her :)

I thought the show was excellent. The producers decided they would give Whitney a respectful tribute at the Grammys because it’s too soon after her sudden death and they are planning a larger tribute later. Whether you like Chris Brown or not he an excellent entertainer he did wrong but he is young and paid his dues if Rhianna forgave him why can’t you detractors?

I enjoyed it,performances were pretty good,besides maybe Nicki’s.
as for those people disappointed on the Whitney tribute, remember that the Grammy’s are like pre-planned for like months. Whitney’s passing was so sudden, just the day before.
They squeezed in as much as they could, and for last minute it was pretty good.

@betty: maybe because people don’t forgive abuse. That includes physical abuse.. not just sexual abuse.

Not a big Adele fan, but have to admit, she looked beautiful at the Grammys. Love the hair and the outfit.

some of Ya’ll aren’t very bright they didn’t ignore Etta James Alicia Keys & Bonnie Raitt sang her song Sunday Kind Of Love before they presented the first award and Saving The Whitney tribute until the end of the show or nearly was the right thing to do plus Amy Winehouse won a posthumous grammy for her duet with Tony Bennett on Body & Soul

I here a whole lot of people asking why did CB get two performances, Its because the last performance was David Guetta, I feel bad for him, all the backlash for CB and everyone isn’t realizing that it was David song and CB and LIl was feature on it.

@pickles:

i thought the show stunk, to many dancers. i love the Beach boys. Micky Minaj was the lousy show i have ever seen. to many backup singers also. Adele was very good.. show was overdone.

Let’s be real here, music just isn’t the same anymore. It’s not just about the love of music anymore, people are in it for many other reasons. The fact that they didn’t put in a honor for Whitney Houston and Etta James was pathetic, acting like those two women didn’t make a change in music when they did. Adele deserved all her awards, she is probably the only main stream artist who knows how to capture a wide audience without taking her clothes off being half naked, & singing about sex. She’s purely an artist because she loves music. Others like Rihanna, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minjaj, are music artist who capture an audience through sex, fame, & their talent. Good on Adele!
