Love, love them. Angie you’re an inspiration I cannot wait to see ITLOBAH. Brad I am still hoping you win the Oscar, I saw Moneyball and you were great. Truly special couple.

    Toria Says:

As a person of Serbian descent, she did a wonderful job with ITLOBAH. Cried my eyes out, but loved her approach and her willingness to take a chance to tell a story that is just as vicious and cruel as any genocide, but largely forgotten by the world.

    yes Says:

For the trained or informed viewer the message becomes utterly predictable only after the introduction part of the story. After that it is highly insulting for the Serbs and all factually informed people who personally know about civil war. Angelina could have done it so much better and fairer with her not really informative story line in her debut that smells of dubious and occasionally even obvious subjectivity. On the other hand; if Madonna can get a Golden Globe for a song nobody really knows, I would not be surprised if she gets an Oscar for a movie nobody will remember.

It is important to understand that the film is accepted from the people from this region , I am like you from there.
That is close to imposible what she had accomplished.
She is crazy smart and again sensitive.

You cannot believe everything you read in the papers ESPECIALLY when they are NOT giving the name of the person who supposedly made that comment. Even when they gave the name it turns out not to be true.
    .
The rags and mags are twisting his words.
    .
    Here is what BBT said.
    .
“Billy Bob said the film is about ‘a guy who’s on a road trip and picks up this girl along the way, and what happens to them. It’s about the question of life: “What is this? Where do I fit in?”‘
    .
Do you see anywhere written there it is about his relationship with Angelina Jolie? Absolutely not!

Angie’s interview in Sarajevo, she said she started to cry as landed in Sarajevo, Brad held her hands in the car to comfort her.

    ================================
You know, I watched the interview and see how passionate and knowledgeable Angie is about the conflict in that area, I get emotional and teary eye. Not because Angie is THE JOLIE, the prettiest and smartiest superstar in HW, but I see her as a PERSON who is really doing her best to help others the best way she knows how or the best way she can.
    .
I love her because of all the things she’s doing to better the world. If an admirer like me, who has never meet her can love Angie and feel and understand where she’s coming from and be proud of her, I am sure her family, specially Brad, his parents/siblings are probably so proud and admire her so much.
    .
Continued success Angie and Brad. And may Allah, God, Yahwee, Buddha guide you and protect you and your family.

Thank you for sharing your feelings, especially since you are from that region.
    .
Angelina has a good heart and I love that her message in her movie is Universal.
    .
We all share life on this planet and we must learn to get along and help each other in whatever capacity we can. This earth is our home and we need to stop polluting it with hate and war and atrocities against people who have the same needs, wants, desires and hopes that we have. I believe, at our core, we all want to live in peace and want to be treated respectfully as we treat others respectfully. Love and kindness can heal so many wounds if we just give them a chance.

    She's Nutz Says:

“In the Land of Blood and Honey,” is a mix of the powerful and the ridiculous, and eventually the ridiculous wins. The movie deals with a big subject that has received scant treatment in movies – the genocide in Bosnia in the 1990s – giving voice and testimony to what happened there. But the ill-conceived fictional elements take the picture right off the rails.

Ultimately, Jolie seems to have in mind turning “In the Land of Blood and Honey” into “The Last Tango in Paris” of war movies. Danijel installs Ajla in a room and shows up daily, either to make love to her or argue with her, to comfort her or to rape her. It all depends on his mood. The situation is too ugly to laugh at, but the psychology becomes too muddled to take seriously. Gradually, the awful thought begins to dawn that Jolie might actually see this setup as erotic.
