Shailene Woodley Covers 'Malibu'

Shailene Woodley looks stunning on the cover of Malibu magazine’s latest issue.

Here’s what the 20-year-old star of The Descendants had to share:

On taking acting classes: “I think a lot of people still go to acting classes. I go for my own benefit. I feel like I become a stronger person from acting class. When you do improv exercises, it helps your brain function quicker. When you do scenes, you learn a different color of yourself, and you get to explore different emotions. I’m really lucky, too; the class I go to, everybody’s very close. It’s like a family. It’s a very safe environment in order to dive into some crazy scenes and be vulnerable.”

On whether she loves to dress up: “No, I’m not a girlie girl at all. I never wear dresses. I’m always in either long, baggy skirts that I can still do ‘crisscross applesauce’ in, or blue jeans. I’m very lucky to work with a stylist who cares about fashion, because I don’t at all. And I’m very lucky to have a makeup artist and hair guy who are really good at what they do, because I would go to events with no makeup and no hair and in pajamas if I could.”

She was good for what she is in The descendants but nothing spectacular. I don’t get why people think she was robbed, she didn’t deserve a nominatin just for being in Clooney film.

I really did like this chick from the very start of the promotion for ‘The Descendants’ but lately she’s been very annoying.
I hate, hate her stylist. She should get like Emma Stone’s or Hailee Steinfeld’s stylist cause hers sucks and she seems very pretentious; not a good quality to have in Hollywood or in life.

It’s a shame. She could’ve been great and I agree, she was not deserving of an Oscar just for crying underwater.

    very pretty

but i disagree, I feel like she has a cheap stylist, a cheap makeup artist and a cheap hair stylist who are probably really young and have no idea what they’re doing. She needs to spend some money on REAL professionals

Whenever people are true to their values, we tend to label them pretentious. I like Shailene and I love that she knows who she is and what she stands for1

She is really pretty. She’s one of these people I feel will just get more attractive as she gets older. She’s got that fresh-faced, natural beauty.

@Kevin: No, she’s pretentious and she thinks high of herself. Have you read what she sad about people focusing on her five toe shoes?

I was just going to say she needs a stylist too. She is so gorgeous and the clothes and hair just don’t do it.

@Laura: I have, she’s advocating for environmental sustainability. I don’t know about you but I actually care about the environment and respect others who do as well.
