Kevin Costner gave one of the most touching speeches at Whitney Houston‘s funeral at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday (February 18).
“You weren’t just pretty,” said the 57-year-old actor, who co-starred in 1992′s The Bodyguard with Whitney. “You were as beautiful as a woman could be. And people didn’t just like you Whitney. They loved you.”

I felt his words were from his heart. He was really struggling with is emotions. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if he wanted more of a relationship with her. How I wish we could go back in time and have things be so different,,..
I just watched yesterday twice. So touching so beautiful so sweet. Just wish the time keeps still to that time in the movies.

He is so poised I admire him more. Honestly, I cried (I just got off work at 7am and stayed up to watched Whitney)…..

I cried more when they lifted her casket…this is the most beautiful dedication/funeral I’ve seen for 5 decades. Thank you Whitney and family.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw he came to the funeral, but then I got blown away by his wonderful speech. Really heartfelt and honest, you could feel how much he cared. I never knew they were this close or that he was fond of her so much. Jeesh, now I’ll have to watch The Bodyguard again, as this was truly romantic but even more a real testament to friendship. I hold Costner in higher regards now.

shared stories that made him look good, what about sharing a story how whitney made him a better person or how she helped him
didnt need to hear all the stories how he was such a mischievious boy in church and again with the comment how the famous people could only understand how you could have doubts on a interview
