I am a great fan of Whitney Houston, and she is an inspiration to me as an active member of my gospel choir. Hearing her voice is phenomenal. Such a special gift that God has given her. I thank Him for loaning her to us, to be an awsome humanitarian, a mentor, a daughter to Cissy, and a great mother to Bobbi Christina. My prayers will go out to Whitney’s family, and may they be forever comforted by God’s spirit.
I will miss you, Whitney. You are a true lady. Thank you for your love of music, and God.

geordie kevin @ 02/18/2012 at 12:31 pm

What a pile of poop. She was a druggie and everyone that bought her music or concert ticket, helped fund her drug habit.

I Will Always Love You!

Such a classless funeral. She is looking down LHAO.

why would they stream a funeral? that is tasteless

I hate when people started to think different when somebody dies so she was an awesome singer, she was a good person?? we don’t know thats a family and friends concern. she loves the drugs Yes that wasn’t a secret so hopefully GOD can take care of her but stop taking her as perfect person Im sick of that

How tacky to have a funeral online. It is not like she was a head of state. Tacky!

That’s so sad and unnecessary death… RIP, Whitney.

She is my God <3 R.I.P. Whitney <3 we will always love you

R.I.P Whitney Houston and God Bless your beautiful soul!

That Jesse Whoremonger Jackson never misses an opportunity to be in the spotlight. Tacky people! FAKE ASS CHRISTIANS!

Whitney was sooo very young. She still had a whole life ahead of her. Whitney was such a strong woman that didn’t let anything get in her way. God Bless Whitney and The Houston Family. May God watch over Bobbi Kristina while Whitney’s in God’s hands.

My heart especially goes out to Whitney’s mother Mrs. Cissy & her daughter Bobbi Christiana, you have my Deepst Sympathy during your time of lost. Yes, people while Whitney was a super-star with a magical voice to the world. She was a mother and a daughter first. One thing to remember that we as believer’s are all God’s children and He loves each and every one of us, and ask that we always turn to His word for advice and to Him for protection. The bible tells us that we are not to judge or we will be judged by the same message. During a time of lost we are supposed to uplift, encourage and comfort the bereaved. The Bible tells us so many time to governed our tongues. In America we sometimes have too many the freedoms, such asthe freedom of speech and the freedom of press, but as God’s children we also have the Freedom to make the right choices, so let’s choose to be respectful and not gossip or spectulate the specimen of dust in someone else’s eye until we look a little closer into the pile of sawdust in our own eyes. Jesus instructed us to Love One Another, as He has loved us unconditionally.

Theres been a funeral on tv all day. Did someone shoot the president? Wait, there was a 9-11 memorial? We honoring soldiers who have fallen in iraq? Oh,,,,,its whitney houston, she smoked too much crack and now were honoring her with an all day snoozefest. GRATZ

Whitney Queen Houston rest in peace

Why do internet trolls even watch crap like this. They are so miserable and yes misery lives company. Most mothers teach you to keep your mouth shut if you dont have anything nice to say in situations like this. Maybe everyone commenting negatively shouldve had some home training? Idiots

HOME_GURU @ 02/18/2012 at 3:15 pm

I love to hear that all these good people think that God is waiting in Heaven for Whitney, and that she is going to be “good enough for him” and “great” and that she is going to blow the roof off, etc. because if I get this straight, what all these show business types are really saying is that they hope that in Heaven there is still a STATUS SYSTEM going on up there, and that a few extraordinary creatures get to entertain the Divine while the rest of us lowlifes do…what exactly? Wait in line to see the show? Draw straws? Beg to shake a famous hand in the clouds? Stay in our cubicle to watch it on the Internet while God and his angels (who of course are fascinated by stars of the film and music industry) get all the front row seats and backstage passes?

I don’t know about you, but I sincerely wish that the Stars of this Earth could grasp that the low human status which most of us experience is only a temporary condition — just like living as a demi-God is–

Ashes to ashes, fellows — dust to dust!

Did I hear it wrong… or was Stevie Wonder really horrible?

“we” dont have to honor anything. Dont tell me you dont know how to turn your computer off and go live your life. Stupid ass lol

To those who are making negative comments about Whitney and her online funeral, you will have your day to be Judged so stop Judging!!!RIH Whitney E Houston

some one please tell Stevie Wonder not to sing ever again
What a sad sad performance,horrible

kiki jackson @ 02/18/2012 at 3:31 pm

African Americans look at death seemingly differently than “white people” at least this is my experience. This is a “home coming” ceremony not a gloom and doom ceremony. Please stop hating and start loving! While some at this ceremony are their to stroke their egos, the reason is to celebrate Whitney’s life, love, and memory!

Sing it! Praise it! And know it!

Real Heroes @ 02/18/2012 at 3:34 pm

She didn’t deserve Flag Honors…she decided to kill herself ..making a fool of herself fighting a young girl over a dicccck like RayJ…worse than Demi.
Flag Honors are for REAL Heroes.

I will forever remember u my icon and legend. RIP beloved…

Privesc ceremonia si nu-mi vine sa cred ca e pentru Whitney.M-am nascut in acelasi an cu ea.I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU ! REST IN PEACE!

Helen Mattadeen @ 02/18/2012 at 4:12 pm

I was so shocked of learning of Whitney’s death – my heart goes out to her family especially her daughter, but I know she will be strong like her mom – I always love all of her songs, she performs and dresses so graciously and she does handle the high notes too – I have a few CD’s by her. “I will always love you” Whitney. May u RIP

My prayers go out to the family and friends in the passing of a great person. She showed great perseverance in life and weathered the storms with dignity. She will be greatly missed. Christina, you will make it. I know you will. Keep the faith that your mother had. Do her proud. Thanks to BET for sharing this moment with everyone.

I’ve never seen so many negative comment’s, i can just imagine what you’ll be like when someone you love (crack addict or not) dies!!!

David Showers @ 02/18/2012 at 4:28 pm

Trying to find words to express how I feel that are befitting of a queen because thats what you are to me. You’ve touched my life in so many ways through your music helped me make it through many things with the soothing tone of your voice, and made me feel loved even when I felt as though love had turned its back on me. All though god had called his angel home to stand beside him in heaven your music will continue to work its magic on me and many more. You will be truly missed Whitney Houston and I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!

R.I.P whitney houston
i love your songs.

This is yet again another tragic story of substance abuse @ its best. Had Ms. Houston been an average “normal” person, it wouldn’t have been recognized or been out there. She is a statistic now, showing that no matter how one may seem in the world to everyone, she had her drama in life, an enemy she couldn’t shake, a demon… She had it all and basically choose to just throw it all away like nothing… not thinking of anyone but herself. We can all say we love her, sure… but where was the true love and support when she was intoxicated? So sad, so true.

David Showers @ 02/18/2012 at 4:55 pm

Some of you really need to learn to show some respect because whether you liked Whitney or not still a mother has lost her child and a daughter has lost her mother. If you didn’t want to see then you should of turned the channel. So if all you have is a negative comment about Whitney today, then please keep it to yourself because some of did have some training and don’t want to hear/read it.

RIp. she is with the truth the way and the life, Jesus Christ.

Kevin T Kiso @ 02/18/2012 at 5:03 pm

You had such a great voice. You were given incredible wealth. I am a recovering addict, too. I decided that my family; my child, my spouse and my community (I have no fans or record company, or contracts), needed me ALIVE instead of dead. So I chose to become as seemingly unselfish as I could be, and I adhered to the very simple yet firm rules required to stay clean and off of drugs. IT’S REALLY SIMPLE. You have to let go of conceit; selfishness; you’re required to do this for yourself; it cannot be handed to you – (which, unfortunately, you seemed to become happy and comfortable with). I am sorry for your child; you seemed to set a wonderful example for her… it seems as though she needs inpatient treatment as well. Hopefully she has not become spoiled and selfish enough to accept the realization that getting and staying clean from drugs and alcohol required true hard work. It will not be handed to her like a mirror with lines of cocaine on it; or a crack pipe; or a prescription of Xanax, or Klonopin, or a bottle of champagne… I am sorry you are gone. I am disappointed in and with you. You let a lot of people down. You did not go out like a champion. You went out without a fight. I knew you… I was born and raised in Newark. We went to school together. I spoke with you in Atlanta 26 months ago… you were a wreck. But I didn’t see this coming… Goodbye, Whitney…

@geordie kevin:

You must remember that her drug habbit was relatively new compared to the 25+ years of great music, movies, volunteer work, etc. As much as people admired her and wanted to be her, we must remember that she was human and not perfect. People fall from grace all time, unfortunately for her she fell while in the public eye.

Whitney~ You’ve got new wings to fly now sweetheart. You and your music will live in us forever. It was and honor knowing you.
Dionne my heart goes out to you Ci Ci and Bobbi Christina.
Keep her close.

Whitney was one of the best artist we will ever encounter in this life-time. She will be missed tremendously.

No one knows what we go through each day of our lives, but us and God. He knows our heart even when we fall short of his Gory. I don’t have any doubt that Mrs.Whitney Houston is in Heaven, Thanking, “God” for relieving her from her struggles here on earth. Before anyone can pass judgement, ” There is a mirror for you to look into and you too will fall short of God’s Glory. Mrs.Whitney Houston, will be greatly missed in our world, but the great attribute she has given us is her music, she had truly bless us and be thankful. Let all pray for her family to have peace and comfort.

It’s such a shame that some of us have no commission. Even in death some of us won’t let her RIP. If you have nothing positive to say, keep your mouth close, Your deeds may not be drugs ,but God knows what they are .Let God be the judge… Noone asked you to come on and say anything thing. God bless her soul and Ipray she made peace with God.. Celebrate her success and not her failures, just the same way you would like your last moments to be remembered. Jesus did not came to call the righteous ,but those which were lost.. RIP WHITNEY

Hopeton Cameron @ 02/18/2012 at 10:57 pm

Her family made a great choice not to turn her final moments into a chaos.

I will never forget u Whitney!!!! I also understand why the family arrange for a private ceremony bc this is and will b thier last time with Whitney, and us as fans should respect thier wishes. I dont think Whtney family forgot about her fans but just wanted this time to themselves.

Really. . .for those of you complaining about a funeral aired online. . . this was the smart way to go. . . Instead of having thousands of fans who loved Whitney show up and cause havoc and problems for the family at the funeral. . . everyone who wished to, could watch the funeral online. This alleviates so many problems for the family and allows Whitney’s adoring public to see and be a part of her life celebration/funeral. . . Additionally, because Whitney was very loved, airing the funeral has given fans and those not invited to the funeral an opportunity to grieve, find closure and feel like they participated. Not tacky at all. . . It was done with so much class. . . Sorry to those that don’t agree. . . I would love to hear your explanation as to why. . .

WHITNEYFANFOREVER @ 02/19/2012 at 3:26 am

My dear young Whitney,
You will be forever in the hearts of your fans, friends and foremost your family. It is your family that my heart goes out to in this most difficult of times. To have shared you with the world for most of your life it must have been a very difficult choice to keep your final days as private as possible. I know they understand the fans are hurting too and they showed that in allowing the funeral to be streamed out for all to see. But I agree; this is the time for your family to find peace with the loss and to heal together. There has been much speculation as too what happened over the media, conclusions drawn, and I think statements made by some fans that “the family should have a heart” and “allow them to be present” – is just plain heartless. They may feel that they lost family cause you Whitney and your family allowed them to be that present in your life. Now it is the family’s time to remember, to rejoice & celebrate the life of their Nippy, and to reflect on their Whitney, her life, her daughter and what the next steps are which include going on without you. It is my belief Whitney; you will always be treasured as the iconic superstar, loving mother, faithful daughter, and endearing friend to us all. You will most definitely be missed but never forgotten. Whenever I hear of losses so unacceptable as Whitney’s life taken far too soon, I remember a line from an inspirational movie “Whenever you hear bells ringing another Angel has received their wings”. If we all stop, take a deep breath, and really listen carefully I bet we will hear bells ringing as strong as you sang, as deep as you loved, as gracefully as you presented and as soulfully as you gave from your heart. May God bless you Whitney and welcome you into his kingdom with wide open arms. May you together help guide the family through the tragic loss and embrace your memory, spirit, and love knowing you are and always be right alongside of them cheering them on. You are from gone Whitney … your spirit is alive and well and I for one am embracing it to guide and inspire me.
Love you darling and my prayers go out to your family. Also I second Kevin when you look down to check in you will see we did not just like you WE LOVE YOU!

WHITNEYFANFOREVER @ 02/19/2012 at 4:14 am

@Kevin T Kiso: Shame on you … do you not realize there is a family out there that has lost their mother, daughter, friend, confidant, and even ex-wife. This is not the time to be negative or condescending. Now is the time to be supportive to the family regardless of their status to you. Obviously you were never taught that if you have nothing nice to say then to say nothing at all.

WHITNEYFANFOREVER @ 02/19/2012 at 4:41 am

@Whitney#1fan: @Kevin T Kiso:I wish to add to this that she is not just known for her music and voice she is also known for her heart and graciousness. She has given to the community in so many ways. She has been an inspiration to many people. I agree 100% if people can’t say anything nice they should say nothing at all … after all there is a family that has lost a mother, daughter, friend, confidant, and ex-wife and deserve the respect to mourn her without hearing trash from people who did not know her they only know what was written or said about her and formulated an opinion unfairly to her memory, family and friends.
Dear Whitney family use your faith to forgive the verbally challenged and embrace the love of those who love you all right back. God bless you all and may you find peace and guide Whitney’s love of her life …. her baby girl (I realize she is not a baby anymore but to her mama she will always be her baby girl).

Such a big loss! Gone to soon Whitney! Apart from your talents, you beauty, smile will keep on shining in our lives and memories forever! RIP my Angel. You are in good hands now-protected!

Thank you soooooo much for allowing us to be part of a very well respected individual that has touched our hearts from the very beginning. I am such a huge fan and was heart broken and could not come to terms with her death. Viewing her funeral I am now at peace and find some sort of closure. Whitney your music will forever live on and you will always be in our hearts. To Bobbie Kristina and Whitneys family, may you find comfort knowing your mom is in a better place and we will soon all be together. Rest in love Whitney, I will always love you.

Some people live a lifetime and never meet a great person like Whitney so her family is blessed for having known her.She was truly a remarkable person who can never be forgotten!!!Her music ,kindness and love changed the lives of countless people all over the world and for that we can never thank her enough.RIP in peace Whitney Houston a mentor and a heroine of so many, your music will live on in our hearts. We love and miss you xxxxxxx

God bless your family Whitney! We all loved you so much and will continue to love you. I can’t even listen to “I will always love you” right now. It’s just too sad. I thought the idiots would drop you when they lifted your casket! I heard your voice as they carried you off. One of the sadest moments in my life. It’s an absolute loss to know that we will not continue to hear new and exciting music from you but your beautiful melodies will always play on in my household. RIP Nippy

I just cried my eyes out. Hearing I Will Always Love You and seeing her coffin was such a powerful, OVERPOWERING moment. I feel such a loss within my heart even though the only impact she had in my life was sweet sweet music. RIP Whitney x

My heart goes out as well to Whitney and her family. I hope that they are holding up well as I wished I could hve said my goodbyes as well. We will all miss you and your music. You were an inspiration to all up and coming singers. As a singer and actor I wish I had the opportunity to see you in person or in concert but I did buy you music and listen to it. I admired you when you were down and when you were up. I remember growing up in the group home listening to you and saying I would love to be a star like you or Micheal Jackson you both will be missed

Rest In Peace
You will be missed
