OlderRicky Martin: 'Evita' Rehearsal!
Ricky Martin keeps warm in a puffer coat on his way to rehearsal on Sunday (February 19) in New York City.
The 40-year-old singer was rehearsing for his role of Che in the upcoming production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice‘s musical, Evita.
The musical follows the life of Eva Peron, the second wife of Argentine president Juan Peron. Ricky stars opposite Argentinian actress Elena Roger, who plays Eva, and Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris as Peron.
Previews for Evita begin March 12, 2012 at NYC’s Marquis Theatre with opening night slated for April 5!

He only got the role because he is a very light skinned Puerto Rican with Spanish features because Argentinians are white basically and he is more believable in the role.
