Kate Winslet Excited to Watch 'Titanic 3D' With Her Kids

Host Piero Chiambretti sits on Kate Winslet‘s lap during a taping of his Italian TV program, Chiambretti Wednesday Show, on Tuesday (March 6) in Milan, Italy.

The 36-year-old actress chatted a bit about her iconic movie, Titanic, which is returning to theaters in 3D and IMAX on April 6.

“It’s very exciting that I can actually sit with them [my kids, Mia, 11, and Joe, 8] – together – and we can all watch it in a movie theater. That is going to be quite amazing, actually,” Kate shared (via Daily Mail).

Late last month, Kate attended the Cesar Film Awards, France’s equivalent of the Oscars, in Paris where she picked up an Honorary Cesar.

I think it’d be a hell of a lot more awkward if her kids randomly caught the movie on TV and saw the nude scene on their own. At least she can explain the scene to them. I mean, it’ll still be awkward because it’s their mum but at least someone is there to explain. This isn’t a huge deal anyway. Kids have been exposed to a lot worse.

    blah Says:

Nowadays every other movie has a nude scene so it won’t be a big deal. lol. And hollywood is surely sinking, re-makes and #D shi.t

    A Says:

@sarah: Apparently it’s not a “big deal” because “kids see a lot worse now a days” #societyonebigfail

    believe Says:

Can you imagine watching a movie with your mother and that she is naked in the movie? I know this is Hollywood today but let the kids be kids. Protect them as long as you can.

    Kevo Says:

I saw the movie in a movie theater when I was about 7 or 8 I think. I didn’t even pay that much attention to the nude scenes and I didnt grow to become a pervert or something, so I don’t think it’s a big deal

    Philipp Says:

@NM: it’s Kate Winslet, I’m guessing they already have (I don’t mean that in a judging way, but she’s British and seems to very, well idk, liberal that way?)

  24. 24
    Marisa Says:

This is Hollywood today? Protect the kids? They’ll be watching a movie, not changing their lifestyle. I watched Titanic when I was a kid and nothing bad happened to me. It didn’t profoundly change my life. The nude scenes in Titanic aren’t even gross or graphic. If the kids were seeing The Reader, that’d be different, but Titanic? Please. I reckon it’d be even more awkward if her kids were teenagers watching the movie.
