Kate Winslet Excited to Watch 'Titanic 3D' With Her Kids

Host Piero Chiambretti sits on Kate Winslet‘s lap during a taping of his Italian TV program, Chiambretti Wednesday Show, on Tuesday (March 6) in Milan, Italy.

The 36-year-old actress chatted a bit about her iconic movie, Titanic, which is returning to theaters in 3D and IMAX on April 6.

“It’s very exciting that I can actually sit with them [my kids, Mia, 11, and Joe, 8] – together – and we can all watch it in a movie theater. That is going to be quite amazing, actually,” Kate shared (via Daily Mail).

Late last month, Kate attended the Cesar Film Awards, France’s equivalent of the Oscars, in Paris where she picked up an Honorary Cesar.

very. she’s so sweet and down to earth too. it’s really funny when she can easily turn on her american accent, i saw her do it once in an interview and it was hilarious.

Titanic in 3D? Seriously?? How friggin stupid.

# 3

What a waste of money, it wasn’t that good to begin with

# 4

um, that awkward moment when her nude scene is on the big screen in front of her kids

# 5

lol. She’s really excited for her kids to see her naked?

# 6

Love Kate. Superb actress

# 7

She’s a great actress but, Titanic ugh.

# 8

The movie is one big blur. She was naked? Leo too?

God Titanic in 3D.

I think it’d be a hell of a lot more awkward if her kids randomly caught the movie on TV and saw the nude scene on their own. At least she can explain the scene to them. I mean, it’ll still be awkward because it’s their mum but at least someone is there to explain. This isn’t a huge deal anyway. Kids have been exposed to a lot worse.

Nowadays every other movie has a nude scene so it won’t be a big deal. lol. And hollywood is surely sinking, re-makes and #D shi.t

What’s next. Titanic the musical?

Love Kate. Hate the movie.

What in hell, she’s going to let her kids watch that movie? Does she not remember the nude and sex scenes??

I don’t remember the nude scenes just Leo’s puny arms.

so the kids are ok with their mom’s nudity? ;-)
don’t know about others, i’m going to watch it again if the 3D version come s to europe, even just to remind the old time

hm,what was that? no more titanic, please!

does anyone else get the feeling they’re profiting out the 100th anniversary?

Aren’t her kids a bit young to watch this?

@sarah: Apparently it’s not a “big deal” because “kids see a lot worse now a days” #societyonebigfail

Can you imagine watching a movie with your mother and that she is naked in the movie? I know this is Hollywood today but let the kids be kids. Protect them as long as you can.

I saw the movie in a movie theater when I was about 7 or 8 I think. I didn’t even pay that much attention to the nude scenes and I didnt grow to become a pervert or something, so I don’t think it’s a big deal

@NM: it’s Kate Winslet, I’m guessing they already have (I don’t mean that in a judging way, but she’s British and seems to very, well idk, liberal that way?)

This is Hollywood today? Protect the kids? They’ll be watching a movie, not changing their lifestyle. I watched Titanic when I was a kid and nothing bad happened to me. It didn’t profoundly change my life. The nude scenes in Titanic aren’t even gross or graphic. If the kids were seeing The Reader, that’d be different, but Titanic? Please. I reckon it’d be even more awkward if her kids were teenagers watching the movie.
