Emilia Clarke: 'Game of Thrones' Covers 'EW'

Emilia Clarke gets into character as Daenerys Targaryen on the cover of Entertainment Weekly‘s latest issue.

Co-stars Kit Harington and Peter Dinklage also got their own cover, while Lena Headey and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau posed on a separate one. (You can see and purchase all of them here.)

“This season is about a country at war. And we felt like if we didn’t see the most important battle of this entire war onscreen, we’re going to shortchange viewers,” showrunner David Benioff told the mag.

“To my knowledge, a story of this scale has never been told within filmed entertainment,” added co-creator Dan Weiss. “There’s so many characters and locations and storylines, so many things that are atypical in television – and for good reason. You could do this show relatively easily with twice the money that we have, then after a couple great seasons it’d collapse under its own weight and cease to exist.”

Is there a specific reason why it’s these 5 that got a cover? I’d have chosen Richard Madden (Robb) aswell :/

@8n:

Sorry, but Emilia Clarke was not on “Roswell”. She’s a newcomer to television and film. And I seriously doubt HBO will turn this great show into a ‘twi-fan’ club. This IS HBO not the CW.
