Andrew Garfield: 'Death of A Salesman' Curtain Call!

Andrew Garfield takes a bow at the Broadway opening night of Death Of A Salesman held at the Barrymore Theatre on Thursday (March 15) in New York City.

The 28-year-old actor was joined on stage by his co-stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Finn Wittrock, and Linda Emond.

Before the show, Andrew‘s girlfriend Emma Stone snuck inside to watch him perform!

The show has gotten rave reviews.

PHS and Garfield are stunning…All the supporting players are top notch,” a Reuters review said about the production.

Andrew Garfield, nailing a Brooklyn accent, makes ex-jock Biff appropriately insecure,” an EW critic wrote as well.

FYI: Emma is wearing Lanvin.

to all those who doubted Andrew and his acting abilities for Spiderman, give me a break, he may be new, but he’s almost TOo good for that.

This guy is a very promising young actor. Saw him first in Never Let Me Go, where he was amazing. Hope he gets lots of good and interesting roles in the future!

This reminds me of a scene in Spider-Man 2, where Mary Jane is doing a play and Peter Parker sneaks in to watch her perform. I know Emma Stone is playing Gwen Stacy but come on, she looks more like Mary Jane than Kristen Dunst ever did.

”Garfield, in one of the most emotionally naked performances I’ve ever witnessed in the theater, lets us see the crippling weight of Willy’s overblown expectations. This young man becomes the play’s protagonist in a kind of Oedipal stage reversal that is thrilling to behold. … Nichols’ painfully timely “Death of a Salesman” may have too many flaws to be one for the ages, but Garfield has made it one that I’ll remember for as long as I live.” – one of the reviews. Andrew is absolutely incredible. Congratulations!

I really wish I could see this. It looks amazing.

Reeve Carney, the guy who plays Spider-man on Broadway sent him flowers on this night! I found that to be incredibly sweet. Anyway, I love Andrew. He will go far

Andrew is a talented guy getting all the praise he has rightfully earned. And that was really quite gracious of Reeve Carney to send him flowers. He’s a talented actor secure in himself.

I’m looking forward to his career. I know it’s trite(especially because of the spiderman connection) but I see him as a new Tobey M. I only hope his career goes longer than Tobey’s.
