Chloe Moretz: 'Dark Shadows' Character Posters!

Chloe Moretz gets into character as rebellious teenager Carolyn Stoddard in this new character poster for her upcoming movie Dark Shadows.

Johnny Depp and Eva Green also star in the film. Here’s the synopsis:

Barnabas (Depp) is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy…until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Bouchard (Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive.

Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets.

    I hope this movie flops. I’m sorry, but it’s a disgrace to Dark Shadows.

    The movie sounds cool, but these posters look cheap, especially since they look like there were made using Apple’s Photo booth effects. This is such a bummer considering it’s a Tim Burton movie, who is known for going over-the-top and all out.

    @Nina D.: A disgrace? The original soap opera was awful.

    Seems like each poster was done in less than five minutes

    I don’t know anymore what it takes to please the commenters at this place. I think the movie looks awesome and the posters are smart. They look great large and also as small icons, these are things to consider when you know your promotional material will be on the web.

    @Emma: Beautiful and talented young women, like Chloe, inspire jealousy among other females. It’s been going on since the dawn of man…and woman.

    I’m not too familiar with Chloe, but she does look somewhat like Carolyn Stoddard in the original “Dark Shadows” series Yes, Tim Burton does go over the top with the new big-budget movie but fans have to understand that this is the 21st century version of “Dark Shadows” and be prepared for some changes. I certainly intend on seeing it and hopefully will enjoy it, in its latest incarnation.

    Dear Ms Rabbit;
    The pretty cool movie posters are neo Warhol.
    Anyway, I ordered a short personal Dragon Blend at the 211th Starbucks Tuesday in BL, and got a 1997 penny back in the change.

    @Nina D.:

    I think my mother will be hoping the same thing… I was actually looking forward to seeing a serious movie based on a show that she loved so much as a child. You all can dislike my comment if you wish but it will not change my opinion. One that I will continue to hold firmly.
