OlderEva Longoria: 'I'm Excited About Things to Come'
Eva Longoria arrives at Scion restaurant on Monday (March 19) in Washington, DC.
The Desperate Housewives actress – who recently celebrated her 37th birthday with pals Victoria Beckham and Kate Beckinsale – was in the capital to discuss education, immigration, and the economy with President Obama.
“I’m always nervous [about meeting him]. It’s the President of the United States. You should always get nervous,” Eva, a co-chair for his re-election campaign, told People.
“I feel very excited about my life and I’m excited about things to come,” newly single Eva added. “There are so many things on the horizon.”

Unemployment..
Wait…. am I missing something? The POTUS is supposed to work for the people. So shouldn’t HE be the one to get nervous? What an effed up world we live in.

What about Immigration? I’m so iffy on it. And why does SHE get to meet with him? What about Joe Blow? Ugh this country sucks. I’m so scared for how its going to be for my children.

I can’t see Hollywood banging down her door to hire her, she’s a one-trick pony and think DHousevives is about as far as her acting limit stretches too.
She must be high maintenance or something, she seems to split with a guy every couple of years or so, no lasting relationships.
She thinks she speaks for all Latinos….Well most latinos are here Legally, are hard working and don’t want Obama’s freebies in exchange for votes. Especially when most are hurting with food and gas prices.
Of course she is “excited” for the career boost she will in exchange for selling out her own people to a Failed Presidency.
Who is funding her Open Borders campaign ..LA RAZA, Mecha, Aztlan even Soros perhaps or all of the above.
obama is doing an incredible job, he will be back, but why he needs eva? dont know.

What exactly is Obama doing that’s great, no offense but that’s the stupidest statement I’ve heard in a while.
1) Gas prices have tripled since Obama took office
2) The national debt increased from 10.5 trillion to 15.5 trillion in 3 YEARS, and by the end of this year is expected to be 16.5 trillion, that’s more than 100% of American GDP, which is 15.4 trillion,
3) Healthcare Insurance has increased 24% in the since Obamacare passed
4) the CBO ( Congressional budget office ) reported that Obamacare will cost double what democrats promised , now it will 1.7 trillion, and in another 2 years it will properly double again.
5) Unemployment rate hasn’t been lower then 8.4% since Obama took office that has only happened one time in American history, THE GREAT DEPRESSION.

How ignorant do you have to be to make a statement like that, The recession officially ended in June 2009, but tell that to the unemployed, underemployed and millions of other Americans still struggling to get by, the economic recovery has been the slowest, or at least nearly the slowest, on record.
Not in any recovery since the end of the Great Depression in the 1930s has the economy grown so slowly, at least then America’s debt was only 34% of our GDP

Get over yourself – people do become nervous meeting world leaders, Nobel Peace Prize winners, and an history maker (the first African-American/White President) as well.

- Gas prices rose under Bush, too. You do know there’s tension with Iran, right, and that’s spiked oil prices?
- Please read the chart on the debt – it grew trillions of dollars under Bush. And you do know national security, and fighting a couple of wars, have been a priority, but also a drain on the economy?
- You lied about the unemployment rate. Citing the Bureau of Labor Statistics, it was at 8.1% in Feb. ’09, having risen 3.3% over the year. It’s trending downward.
- Do not compare 2009-2012 to the 1930′s, with our 309 million population v. 106 million back then, and with huge swings with the GDP in the 1930′s. There’s an economic crisis in Europe, we’ve been fighting a couple of wars, the auto industry was nearly bankrupt, and had to be rescued, etc.
- If your going to show compassion for the unemployed, don’t be an hypocrite by denouncing health care coverage expansion for greater numbers of people.
- Get some sleep. Maybe you’ll think things through better. Maybe not.
