I’m so happy the film did well. I thought the film adaptation was great and I even teared up a bit when Rue died. I can’t wait for Catching Fire.

The only action heroine amongst male heroes of The Dark Knight and Harry Potter for the biggest opening weekend ever. I’m so proud! Go Jennifer!

I see all the hype and mall tours paid off. Now, I’d like for the hype to die down so we can live our lives in peace again.

I feel bad for John carter. it’s really a decent movie and Taylor Kitsch deserves a break.

    Why trash? Says:

    Does it matter?

When Avatar and The Dark Knight were viewed multiple times by the fanboys nobody cared. But if it is any other film then people have to snark. We hear the fan boys that go to a theater just to see a trailer for DK or whatever.

Good for Jennifer and the others. I thing some are scared their favorite won’t get these numbers.

You forgot the part where it’s third biggest box office weekend of all time, Jared!!! Wooo!!! Taking notes, Bella? It pays to be smart and tough and not just be in love with your sparkly vamp. The Hermione Grangers and Katniss Evergreens rule the world! Woo!

    Lola Says:

I adored the books and I am very glad that the movie is very respectful of the book and also is really good. Of course it is an adaptation and there are things not included but maintains the essence, and Jennifer is also brilliant. Go Hunger Games!

@Sayer: Please explain why exactly he deserves a break? He was horrible in John Carter, zero charisma.

I happen to love Harry Potter, Twilight and The Hunger Games! Will people ever stop comparing them and just enjoy them like me?? They are all great in different ways!

    ozzie Says:

I was pretty surprised how well I liked the movie. I was so angry through the whole thing that the society got to such a horrible state.

This is our future if we stay on the path we are now with the upper 1% hoarding the wealth and the anti-science movement that is going on in America right now.

    Lisa Says:

    The Hunger Games film was sooooo A W E S O M E

    Jeez Says:

Can’t really compare Twilight box office with Hunger Games’ box office because one is targeted towards females, while the other has an even mix of males and females. If we are to compare the franchises, it should be Harry Potter and Hunger Games, both evenly appealing to the two sexes. In that case, Harry Potter beats Hunger Games :).

    aunatural Says:

Any teen movie that would beat up that TWATlight movie is a damn very good!!!

  24. 24
    sam Says:

Funny how people can’t just enjoy a movie’s success without bringing down another.

  25. 25
    Carla Says:

This is amazing news I am so happy it did well and it deserves all the success :’) brilliant film.
