OlderJennifer Lawrence: Bonus for 'Hunger Games' Success?
Jennifer Lawrence attends a fan event for The Hunger Games at Capitol Cinema on Monday (March 26) in Madrid, Spain.
The 21-year-old actress wore a Victoria Beckham dress with Brian Atwood‘s “Dasha” booties.
Jennifer will reportedly be getting a payday bump after the movie’s record-breaking opening this past weekend.
“She stands to bring in more than $1 million by the time the film finishes its theatrical run and can expect greater rewards going forward,” according to THR, which adds that she was initially paid $500,000 to star as Katniss.

Well, she certainly deserves it! I hope her agents can renegotiate a better deal for the two sequels – given the fact that what she was paid and the subsequent bonus is a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of what the studio is raking in. The million dollars is not even .5% of what the movie made in two days over the weekend, and that’s in the US alone! She certainly deserves a bigger paycheck, something along the lines of $10 million and upwards. The Twilight kids aren’t better than her! YAY for her though! She can now go and jump into a big pool of pasta – like she has always dreamed of!
i hope all the main cast will get bonuses. she didn’t make the movie by herself. and hope they all will get more for the next movie. can’t let the studio take in all the money.

That’s disgusting to think what the studio is making on this, and that her take at the most will be 1.5 million. She is an Oscar nominated actress, not some twinkie actress pulled off the street. SHAME ON THEM. She’s a wonderful actress, and she deserved more from the start!

Sorry but half a million for the movie doesn’t seem like a very big payday. I would have thought she’d get at least 1 million to start in it to begin with.

Didn’t Kellan Lutz and some other chick from Twilight get paid $3 million for their bit part roles? Jennifer getting $500,000 pales in comparison. She is definitely underpaid by Hollywood standards.

@jenfan: I hope she does. Don’t get me wrong, 500,000 is a LOT of money. But for an actor in a big movie like the hunger games that really isn’t a lot. I hope she gets paid like the Twilight actors have.

She will get a pay raise if they choose to split mockingjay. She has the leverage to walk away from the movie in that case while she is locked in for the first three, like josh and liam. I wonder if she will act like the twilight trio and insist on having all three be paid the same or they would all walk away, like kristen and rob did for taylor. Or is the threesome just for show? Will she act like daniel and take home double the earnings of his two costars?
