OlderLeighton Meester Helps Fight Blood Cancer
Leighton Meester gets swabbed to register as a potential bone marrow donor on Tuesday (April 3) in New York City.
The 25-year-old actress recently teamed up with DKMS in the fight against blood cancer with a PSA for its “Share the Love, Join the Fight” campaign.
“‘Share the Love‘ is an altruistic idea of love – it’s about giving the gift of life to a stranger,” Leighton said.
“You can register as a donor by going to GetSwabbed.org. It’s easy and the more people get swabbed and are willing to donate, the more lives we can save and that’s pretty incredible,” she added.

blood cancer can be like leukemia. Anyways, I love Leighton, i do i do i do. I watch Gossip Girl only for her, im a huge fan but lets face it, she should not be getting swabbed because it’s obvious that she’s not going to donate. It’s a great cause but she’s not going to donate bone marrow to anyone, not because she’s selfish but because its a big procedure and if she’s doing a movie or under a contract, the higher ups are not going to let her.

My one friend had a blood cancer, i tell her to do prayer to God and i tell some holy words for pray to God, and after 3 months she got recovered,
it was miracle, God is great, every thing happens from God, If we make him happy and pray then he listen to us, Allah is great
