Katy Perry: 'Teen Vogue' Cover May 2012!

Katy Perry keeps it chic in a sleek blue bob and matching Zac Posen gown on the May 2012 cover of Teen Vogue, on stands this week.

The 27-year-old pop phenom was asked if she’s tired of being famous.

“I’m tired of being famous already!” Katy told the mag. “But I’m not tired of creating. Fame is, I think, just a disgusting by-product of what I do. It’s quite a delicate creature— it’s a wild animal of sorts. It can love you, and then it can attack you. I still want to be as approachable and relatable as possible—when I meet fans and they’re crying, I’ll say, ‘Calm down, there’s nothing to cry about. I’m not going to bite you or attack you or grant you three wishes. Let’s just hang out and have a good time.” But really, I stopped focusing on what other people think a while ago. If you try to be everything to everyone, you’ll only end up completely confused.”

“Fame is, I think, just a disgusting by-product of what I do.”
No, Katy. Fame is what gave you money. The other thing is called talent.

Katy Perry is one of the rare women ‘pretty’ enough to pull off that blue hair color IMO.

This imbecile doesn’t create anything. **And no, Katy, fake eyelashes don’t count** Without “fame,” she would have nothing. She’ll be a 50 yr. old flop, her boobs sagging to the floor, dressed up in neon on the cover of a teeny bopper mag. So pathetic!

I’m tired of these stupid celebrities complaining about fame and how they don’t get any privacy. You make millions of dollars and have millions of adoring fans worshiping at your feet and you really think that there isn’t going to be a trade off for all of that? You chose this lifestyle knowing the things you get and the things you would give up – you can’t live in a world where you get everything you want so suck it up.

i prefer her pink hair

We’re all sick of her fame too, aren’t we? She could solve the problem for everyone by going away.

Poser extrordinaire.

Did she just say CREATING…? What exactly did she create? She can’t dance, she can’t sing. She’s almost 30 and a fake cotton candy *****. End of discussion.

I am so sick of the media and the public judging every single move that young woman in Hollywood make. People are constantly bitching that they signed up for the judgment and ridicule when they decided to be famous. I’m sorry, NO. They didn’t “decide” to be famous. They decided to do a job that consequently put them in the public eye. And further more, why do the young men in Hollywood (or men in general really) get to say and do whatever they want?

WTF? Katy Perry can’t sing? Is it because she just another one of those famous pop artist? Have you even been to her concerts or have you at least heard her sing. Why is that every pop artist get so much crap.

Oh puh-lease. Don’t act like you’ve never complained before? Half of these people who say they hate it when celebrities complain, complain about certain things like “going to school early” when there are thousands of kids who are less fortunate than we are. It’s clearly unfair that celebrities complain about being in the public eye but it’s not when we complain. People complain about everything all the time even by the simplest, you just have to ignore it.

Katy. You need to shut up. If you woke up tomorrow, and everything you got from your fame disappeared magically, you would be on your bed crying your eyes out.

‘Disgusting by-product?’ I’,m sure you weren’t saying that when you agreed to hawk that perfume of yours?

And the hilarious thing is that Katy is not someone whose renown for producing high calibre ‘art’. She sings generic manufactured catchy pop music that is mainstream. Those types of people should be the last type of people to complain about ‘fame’. They sure as hell did not get by on ‘talent’.

@mer. Of course we all complain. It’s a human quality. But complaining about something that is the reason you live in the top 0.05% of societal comfort is a whole other ball game.

1. I’m tired of hearing how those so-called celebrities are tired of their fame! Oh, please.
2. She is not that great singer and all her songs sound the SAME!
3. If Katy is tired of being famous, then what the heck she is doing on those magazine covers recently?! If you’re doing all these then STFU.
4. Those celebrities really need to keep their mouth shut about fame. It looks ridiculous. If you are tweeting everything about your life or doing a magazine cover especially devoted to your divorce then how can you complain?!
Every actor or musician wants to be famous then they come with their ridiculous comment. Now I’m looking forward to someone who will complain about earning millions of dollar.

Well she could just do what Britney does and when she isnt doing her job, she is nowhere to be seen. if someone wanted privacy, they could get it. she most certainly does not want her privacy, she enjoys the attention.

@mer: I completely agree with you! The whole reason that a few of these comments are getting dislikes is because people are BITTER. I mean really, it is true. If you hate her so much STOP READING ABOUT HER. Everyone complains when they should be grateful for what they have. You’re absolutely correct. People are so much less fortunate than we are. I disagree with certains things that celebrities say, but EVERYONE complains at times when they shouldn’t. For the people saying, “She should be glad because she’s paid millions,” really….you don’t know what it’s like to be followed around everyday, all of the time. They know what comes with the territory, but you don’t, nor do I, because we’re not in HER shoes. So get over yourselves and move on. Those of you reading about her and then saying something nasty just want to be mean, there’s really no other reason for commenting on what she says if you don’t care, or if you don’t like her. Get over it and go read about something that you actually care about. It’s not that hard. Anyway, to the person that I replied to, just stating that I agree with you and letting those that have nothing nice to say about this post should just not waste their time. I’m not a Katy Perry fan. I like reading all of these posts, but I also don’t read or comment on the posts that I don’t like.
