Jelousy is bad for your soul.

  • Sigh…

Isn’t this from an old shoot? Just think, she’ll be all over this site with Coachella pics. Oh joy.

  • Love me boy

I call that three toned hair. Look, we can see the roots are dark, then blonde and then blue. Uhhhh and this is not a pretty look. Not original (many have done this before) and it doesn’t suit her. She’s nothing special, really

  • karl

you know who is beatiful? that girl viking is dating, was spotted making out yesterday, lucy something is her name… and talking about viking, he will be hosting biggest party ever at coachella, kate isnt invited though…

  • okay

bringing intriguing shadows is a good review for a comedy?

  • Shannon

She’s a tad old to be rocking hair like that.

    Oh, and she’s a try-hard. Next.

  • lizzie

Okay folks here we go again with the Lucy thing And about Kate she is nothing special to me

  • Professor

Last year at the Cold Play concert she had this hair color. She said she and Cher decided that it would be fun and pink had been over done so they went for blue. She said it was for kicks. Now we know it was for a photo shoot. She is such an honest and sincere person. YEAH RIGHT!!!! :)))

  • Rachel ()

Never heard of Company magazine. Can’t wait for Coachella! Get to witness hours of KB’s desperation!
@Professor: They did it for a photo shoot then too. They didn’t say they weren’t. These pics have been out for a while.

  • Eresyn

And i thought it was bad enough seeing her bleach her non-existant hair, and now this ridiculous shade of blue…and as many had mentioned, this is an old pic, right?…IMO she should cut it (a nice bob will do) and dye it a darker blonde, it wold suit her better than this thing she has for hair now ;)

  • chelle

@Eresyn: she’s lucky it came out. Bleached hair will absorb color that’s put on it……. yet another bleaching hair 101. Damn!! She’s pathetic!!!

  • chelle

@Eresyn: forgot to say I completely agree with the shorter hair style. She had it a few years ago and it looked really cute then. She’s should try that again. I have baby hair myself and keep it just above my shoulders because it looks just like hers otherwise…. stringy and lifeless.

i can’t wait for coachella LOL i want to see her desperation…last year was really funny!!!

  • Not again

Is this the making out pic your referring to lol lol that is Lucy griffiths
Unless I am viewing this lic wronge

I knew it would not belong before someone else came up with another rumor poor Alex again cannot be seen with Lucy his costar without be accuses of dating

  • karl

I saw it with my own two eyes, you silly person.

  • Golden

Thought I’d bring Tulip’s post over here:
“This is what the NY Times critic had to say about Kate in L!fe Happens:
“Most appealing is Kate Bosworth, whose sharp humor as Deena has a bite that dares you to dismiss her.”
    And the NY Daily News:
“there are advantages to dropping out of the spotlight, as Bosworth’s increasingly interesting indie career attests.
She brings some intriguing shadows to a movie that looks, upon first glance, to be a two-dimensional, post-“Sex and the City” romantic comedy.
Next week, Coiro and Bosworth reunite at the Tribeca Film Festival, for the darker indie romance “While We Were Here.” Now that I know how well they work together, I’ll be there.”
And Richard Roeper at the Chicago Sun Times:
“From this cliched setup springs a refreshingly funny comedy, with Bosworth giving each punchline a healthy polish of sarcasm. . .More interesting is the oddball romance between Deena and a disturbingly mustachioed Justin Kirk. And most interesting of all are the bonds between Kim, Deena and Laura. If Krysten Ritter didn’t already have a TV show, “Life Happens” would offer good material for an adaptation.”
    GO KATE!”

She should do more comedy. She was so good in Win A Date. . . .

  • Coachella

@karl: Coachella runs through April 22 but this weekend is the big weekend. I think the party AS is hosting is next weekend.

  • ladybug

@Coachella: Both weekends are essentially the same, at least concert wise.
Some of the parties may be slightly different, but for the most part it appears to essentially the same, just different celebrities.
@Golden, JJ should probably give a hat tip to Tulip, since she’s been posting the reviews. These are probably the best reviews she’s had in years.

And the Ty-D Bowl hair is from the Stylecaster shoot, which was done the day of the Coldplay concert, she and Cher thought it was grungey.

    No, it’s not.

And Karl, two request: Stop lying, and stop posting AS-specific stuff on a KB thread.

  • mer

How’d you guys know that this magazine was old? Oh wait, half of you who hate on her, stalk her too! *preparing for dislikes*

  • ladybug

@mer: It’s not the magazine that’s old, it’s the photo shoot.
As already mentioned, the photo shoot was the same day as the Coldplay concert:

It’s not as if mags don’t use older photos, but when you’re hair is popsicle colored it makes it real obvious that they’re repeating.

  • Actually…

Reviews from the other end of the spectrum:
    Andrew Barker, Variety:
“Bosworth, on the other hand, inhabits her libertine quipster with far less ease, delivering snappy comebacks and flippant pop-cultural references as though reading aloud from a particularly tortured Maureen Dowd column.”
Gary Goldstein of the Los Angeles Times gave her a glowing review of “fine”.
Mostly Kate’s performance isn’t directly commented on, although Connie Ogle of the Miami Herald called all the characters annoying:
“Self-centered rich dilettante (Kristen Johnston) who is no more annoying than any other character in the movie, even though she’s supposed to be.”
    Chris Nashawaty, Entertainment Weekly:
“…a mildly amusing indie that’s neither as funny nor as poignant as it wants to be.”
    Melissa Anderson, Village Voice
“L!fe Happens is a blonde-brunette buddy comedy with a charmless cast… and banter as flat as Deena’s favorite no-strings imperative, ‘Bone and bolt.’”
Although according to Justin Lowe at The Hollywood Reporter, the script wasn’t good anyway:
“Overall however, the script prompts the actors to overplay their roles so broadly it’s practically squirm-worthy.”
I found the review links on Movie Review Intelligence if you want to see all the reviews (both good, bad, and meh). Basically Life Happens is getting mixed reviews at best.

  • Actually…

My personal favorite comment wasn’t about Kate specifically (and since she did not write the film we can’t blame her for it), more just how I picture a large part of LA lives in general. Or at least the shallow parts of LA.
    Diego Costa, Slant Magazine
“In the film, female sexuality isn’t embedded into everyday life as a fundamental element of Southern California existence, but as a cartoonish spectacle that paints the characters as clumsy, desperate, Prince Charming-seeking bimbos who gawk at any shirtless passerby and are faced with the horrible decision of attending an “industry party” on Sunset, a fashion show downtown, or an art opening on La Cienega. Never for the industry, or the fashion, or the art, but for the husband-material opportunities.”

  • ladybug

@Actually…: Mixed reviews, which is about what it was getting at the premiere last year.

  • chelle

@Golden: funny how that’s probably they only decent review of that stoopid movie. Most of the reviews are saying it’s boring and one even said bosho didn’t even have enough for OWN. It’s more like a poorly done sitcom. Yet another crap out for the stick. Poor poor little Bosy….maybe she should stick to the crappy pics her and hobbitman keep putting on twitter.

  • reba

These sound more like back-handed compliments to me. I’d be pissed if I were her.

  • hollywood

@ladybug: I think Coachella was right about the first weekend being the big deal:
Coachella Parties 2012: Hollywood, Brands Favor First Weekend
    Published: April 03, 2012 @ 1:56 pm
As the 2012 Coachella Music Festival expands to two weekends of the Black Keys, Radiohead and Dr. Dre, the lineup of branded mega-estates and pool parties remains largely a one-weekend affair — the first weekend of April 13-15.

  • Shyla

Alex party hosting is bullcrap. Cant wait to see him, Joel Kinnaman, Liv Munny and Kate all in the one place. Publicity fakers united.

  • Trish

Shes so pretty she should’nt have twotimed Alex with her ugly pretend husband

  • ladybug

@hollywood: To be honest, I don’t really care about the parties, those are more a celebrity thing than a normal concert- goer thing, and for that, both weekends will be essentially the same.
Now, if you’re into PR and paps and celebs, then what weekend you go might make a difference.
And since, per her Twitter, they’re there this weekend, then we’ll get plenty of official party pics, plus those ‘random’ pap shots.

  • Rachel ()

@chelle: The NY times review wasn’t a positive one. They liked KB but hated the movie, according to Rotten Tomatoes. I looked yesterday when Tulip was posting that bs, & it was at like 45% fresh. Today it has dropped to 31%. KB basically sucks.

  • ladybug

@Rachel (): I was just there, did you see the comments with this review (NSFW):,72279/?_r=true

  • Macy

Who is she kidding? She’ll probably be there both weekends just to get free sh*t and photos taken of her outfits and crapmint.

  • ladybug

    @Macy: Swag, swag, swag.
And the weather is supposed to be completely different from this weekend to next, so it’ll give her more opportunities to show off her outfits.

  • Shannon

@Actually…: based on the trailer alone, all of the dialogue looks inauthentic. It looks like they’re literally reading from cue cards. Anyone could do that.

  • Macy

Exactly! I’m sure she and Cher have been planning junkmint reveals all week.

  • Rachel ()

@ladybug: I just read the comments. They’re pretty awesome. We should go join their forum! See, it’s not just the Kate “haters” who think this movie is ridiculous. *
Did you read the review about how it rips off Bridesmaids? And the comment defending L!fe, by poster Kat C? Don’t know that it’s Cairo, but she is “friends” w/ KB, so I’d buy it….

  • Taylor

Technically, if you include the roots, that’s three toned hair.

  • GiGi Eats Celebrities

    I made colored hair COOL!

  • Annie

@Actually…: You took that time of your life to search those comments to validate your silly hate.
    Good for you…?

  • Rachel ()

@Annie: And you took time out of your life to blast ppl on JJ for being “jealous”. Good for you!

  • Actually…

@Annie: if you noticed I used a site that lists all the reviews and tehn I just opened the poorly rated ones. Then I used the old trick I learned in school of Ctrl + F then the keyword (Bosworth this time). Then I skimmed the rest to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Really it was a few minutes out of my day while I was waiting for something else anyway, so I don’t enitrely understand why you’re making such a big deal out of me taking that time out of my life.

  • Whycantipost

@Annie: Please just go away. You are constantly commenting on people that they are mean girls etc, but you do exactly the same. At least we base our opinion on something (Kate’s behavior over the years) and don’t use bitchyness because we can’t win a discussion: ‘you are jealous/stalking Kate’.
Maybe you should watch the movie Mean Girls, in which the Mean Girls (plastics) actually say the EXACT same thing when someone crosses them; they are just jealous/in love with them/obsessed with them.
