Emily Blunt & Tom Cruise: Killing Aliens!

Emily Blunt has just been confirmed to star opposite Tom Cruise in the upcoming Doug Liman sci-fi flick, All You Need is Kill.

According to Variety, “The original story is in the vein of ‘Groundhog Day,’ with a twist: A soldier in a war against aliens finds himself reliving his last day over and over after being killed. Through the training and battles he experiences in these time loops, he becomes a better soldier. Blunt plays another soldier who fights alongside Cruise.”

Yes, and she was brilliant in the Devil Wears Prada. She should have been nominated for an Oscar for that performance.

    She is so overrated.

I just don’t think Emily has enough charisma to be a big movie star.

I like Emily but I hope she doesn’t do this movie and it flops hard. Tom Cruise is a creep.

Tom Cruise + Aliens = box office success. His SF movies always sound so lame when they’re in production. Then wham! something happens and they turn out great. He was incredibly creepy in Knight and Day though. Stick to SF and action thrillers.

    1 ‘Source Code’
    1/2 ‘Groundhog day’
    1 ‘independence Day’
Remove all acting talent, shorten height of sets, props, female lead.
Add a large dose of ego and ‘American Psycho’ in lifts. Submerge in chronically over-budgeted media campaign till ready.

    serves: practically no one.

good concept and yea we will see how Emily is able to match up with a moviestar. Don’t think she is ready yet though, hasn’t done any big movies!!!!! This movie is going to blow the 700million of Cruise’s MI4 out of the water. 800M is floor.
