OlderShakira: Summit of the Americas with Barack Obama!
Shakira discusses the state of education in Latin America during the 6th Summit of the Americas in her native Colombia’s Plaza San Pedro de Claver on Sunday (April 15).
The 35-year-old entertainer continued to advocate for education and early childhood development alongside President Obama and Colombian President Santos.

Shakira, who was named a member of President Obama‘s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics in October, is the founder of both Latin America in Solidarity Action (ALAS) and the Pies Descalzos / Barefoot Foundation.

Black latino have nothing and are still treated like slaves in every Spanish speaking country on earth. There is no racial equity in Spanish speaking countries if you watched BLACKS IN LATIN AMERICA on PBS you will see how people who are not WHITE are mistreated in Spanish speaking countries.
The only RIGHT LATINO is a WHITE LATINO…the rest look like monkeys.

There is no such thing as racial parity in Colombia only the white latinos own the land, resources, power, money, politics everything in that country is based on skin color as it is in all Spanish speaking countries. The Black Latino is at the bottom of the Spanish speaking socities and are driven out of their homes and farms because of the racism of white latinos. Black Latinos are still seen as the slaves of white Latinos and things will never change. The next civil rights movement will come from SPANISH speaking south American countries because of the vicious extreme racism of the WHITE LATINOS.
@Miguel you are 100% correct. In Puerto Rico all of the brown and black Puerto Ricans are still the poorest least educated and discrimated against people on the island. Only the Ricky Martin types are acceptable.
Perhaps the black Hispanics in Colombia should go back to PuertoRico where they came from. They are causing all of the problems not the white Colombians.
Unfortunately, Puerto Rico and Colombia are former slave driven socities obsessed with race and color so I don’t expect things to change any time soon. That is why the colored people in South America former owned by Spain are not demanding justice and rights.

Colombia is having a new place in international politics…she represents us well by not even knowing her anthem ….SHAME ON YOU SHAKIRA.

As a latina I find it so sad to see us latinos attacking each other, why can’t we stick together and represent all the good things that we can ALL offer. Be proud of your heritage/race no matter what/where you are from, instead of bashing another one to make yourself feel better, that will get you nowhere!
