honestly…I think the references to whitney are enough…they had mercedes sing, the talked about her…we don’t need an episode about her songs!

That was a horrible performance.

Yikes…Enough of the Whitney songs!

That was a BEAUTIFUL rendition. And all those people saying it’s horrible are clearly tone deaf. Just because you’re sick of Whitney/and or Glee…doesn’t make this a crap rendition.

goosebumps. absolutely beautiful! whitney would be very proud <3

envy turns people into ugly creatures…

loved, it was really beautiful so good to see the best singers on glee working together on a song

Gle..u ruined almost all famous songs.stop it!

@wandalismus: Yes because the Britney episode was better. Britney definitely contributed more positively to music than Whitney, yeah……..

@wandalismus:
Just so you know, Mercedes doing “I Will Always Love You” was purely coincidental, it was actually filmed a week before Ms. Houston passed away. They’re just paying tribute, from four singers to one of the greatest.

I hate how people say Glee “ruins” songs. Just because Glee covers it doesn’t mean the original suddenly ceases to exist. Just don’t listen to it. Chill out.
It’s also been reported that this episode isn’t so much a tribute to Whitney the singer as it is using her amazing songs in the context of these characters saying goodbye. I am very excited for this episode. It should be excellent.

@Flu we talk about Whitney – not Britney, the Britney episode doesn’t have anything to do with the Whitney episode which IMO is just cashing in on a trend, more than a “tribute”. Besides – at least Britneys life is back on track…something Whintey never succeeded in.

@John
do I really care about the fact? No!
Doesn’t matter if they filmed it weeks before, the reference is there – the references where there and we don’t need more. Whitneys music was great, but she’s a bad example for children and teens. She doesn’t deserve a tribute in a show where the audience are mostly young people. And please don’t argue with Michael Jackson as your defense. He didn’t OD in a bathtub…

I’m not bashing glee in general, in fact I watch it every week and i still like it besides the fact that it is getting worse. This weeks Night Fever episode sucked in my opinion and Corey was a pain in the ass…

It was a very moving, emotional tribute to Whitney Houston! I loved it. Got teary but I loved it.
