Jake Gyllenhaal To Make American Stage Debut in August!

Jake Gyllenhaal is set to make his American stage debut in the off-Broadway play If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet!

The 31-year-old actor will star in the Roundabout Theatre Company production of Nick Payne‘s comedic drama “about an off-kilter family who knows what the problems are, but not how to fix them,” according to THR.

The play, which will be directed by Michael Longhurst, will begin previews in NYC on August 24, and officially open on September 20.

    I still think Jake’s just awesome! Wasn’t he doing a new movie, though – The Enemy/An Enemy (or something like that)? Either way, it’s nice to hear he is working again – I wish him well.

    @Kim Broadway is a lot harder than film is 8 shows a week for the duration of a show unless your an understudy. most modern day stars can’t handle broadway

    Rachel ?? Failures? Source code last film was very well received by the critics, at the end of the year we will have End of Wacht and he will start shooting An enemy, it is pausing??

    This is great news! I think Jake will do fine. I wish I can see him, but I doubt it. I read that he did a play in London and won an award for it but that was a while ago.

    The Enemy starts filming May 22nd and ends mid July. Then Jake can start focussing on the play which has previews the end of Aug and officially opens in Sept.
