I love New York too but I am not going to get it tattooed on me.

  • ck

If she breaks up with NY, I wonder if she’ll have it lasered off? ;)

  • s

The bracelet tattoo that reads ” I heart New York” needed to be explained? Really?

  • Creed

    That is dumb.

  • spot

    it sucks

  • Fassdong

Am I the only one who is not on the tattoo bandwagon?

  • Jennica Panettiere

Wow. That is really tacky. It looks like a bracelet but it’s a tattoo? Ew. Why not get a small one somewhere people can’t see but you can. Like the palm of your hand or something.

  • My Aunt Is Not Julia Roberts

It’s something a 7 year old girl would get as a temporary tattoo, not a 27 year old woman.

Celebrities are so dumb when it comes to tattoos. Remember Hayden Pantyliner had hers misspelled in Italian.

And Megan Fox had a very tacky picture of Marilyn Monroe on her arm or something which she got removed due to not wanting ‘negative energy’ because she realised Marilyn Monroe was a trainwreck and flawed human being and did not want to be associated with that.

I mean, really people? Does the world have to know? What’s wrong with a few initials or something. If anything, if it’s something obscure, people will ask you about it and then it will have more meaning when you explain it to people, rather than having it tacked on sticking out like a friggin pimple or wart the size of Jupiter.

  • Britt

I’m sure the make up artists of her future films are going to LOVE covering that up everyday.

  • Denice

    It’s tacky.

  • Hmm…

    It’s a Celtic version of Thor’s Hammer, I believe.

    I think it looks great.

  • marlene

i like scarlett but her tattoo sucks!

  • TheDudeAbides

    It looks like a nail…

  • Nika

Good thing she didn’t put “I heart Ryan” first because she’d have to get that removed since she cheated with Sean Penn…i like tattoos but this one sucks! Are you sure it’s not one of those that lasts only couple days? it looks like it.

  • tattos are not cool

can´t understand what is so “cool” or sexy about tattoos…every idiot can have or get a tattoo–there is NOTHING rebellious or special about it.
it just looks stupid–and i cannot imagine that a cultivated intelligent person has a tattoo(maybe just one).

and besides that isn´t she jewish?
its a shame she gets a tattoo although she is jewish.

Weird spot for an actress to get a tattoo. Her other colored one on her arms is more ridiculous (what is that one, anyone?). Think she is trying too hard to appear edgy. And not sure what happened to her, but since her fling with Sean Penn, it’s like he wiped out her pretty, she looks plain now.

  • Chris

It looks great! All you b**c**s need to lighten the f**k up.

  • SFRowGuy

Interesting. In that it looks like the traditional representation of Thor’s hammer.

  • Kate

Different, and different is always good! Tattoos are a great way to express yourself.

  • Mjollnir

I like how not once in the article the mentioned the fact that this IS a Thor’s hammer ammulet design with ‘I <3 NY' on it. Journalism at its finest…

  • Jasmine

…I don’t know which of her tattoos are stupider.

  • Heather

@Hmm…: There is no such thing as a Celtic Hammer. The hammer style she is wearing is actually based off of a hammer found in Finland. Thor’s Hammers are Scandinavian, not Celtic.

  • Laurie

    @tattos are not cool:

Seriously, intelligence or being cultivated has nothing to do with have tattoos. This is just pure nonsense and in addition why the heck should she not get one done, whether she is jewish or not, there are not only conservative/orthodox jews, also moderate ones, so no matter whether she has that religion: it does not matter!

    ignorant people….

  • http://_noodles78 Noodles78

It may say I love NY – But that is DEFINITELY Thor’s hammer.
I saw them all over Norway.

  • Linda

    Hmm… Jealousy is a nasty thing, girls… ;-))))

  • Magnis

My guess would be, that her tattoo resembles her Brooklyn and Danish heritage.

    I <3 NY and then a Thor's hammer? Yeah, it's definetly that.

  • this is ridiculous

As in, the real mjölnir, and not marvel’s weird square adaption – as she would know, half-danish or what she is.

  • unicorns4lyfe

    That’s a Mjolnir or Thor’s Hammer….and it says I <3 NY in it?? odd.

  • unicorns4lyfe

this is probably the better tattoo she has, the others are totaly shite

  • unicorns4lyfe

  • Scott

Left out that it’s Mjolnir, Thor’s Hammer.
