President Obama Slow Jams the News on 'Fallon'

President Obama makes an appearance on Tuesday’s (April 24) Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

“I want to slow jam the news and I’m not the only one,” Jimmy told the crowd as the commander-in-chief hit the stage.

“I’m President Barack Obama and I, too, want to slow jam the news,” he said before discussing Stafford student loans with house band The Roots in the background.

“Now is not the time to make school more expensive for our young people,” Barack said.

“Ohhh yeahhh, you should listen to the president,” Jimmy chimed in. “Or as I like to call him, the Preezy of the United Steezy.”

I’m sorry, I thought he was our president, not a celebrity. Is anybody seeing the hypocrisy here? If Bush had gone on a late night talk show with the economy this bad, he would have been “booed” off stage. Sigh. Pathetic.

I like Obama a lot – he has a good head on his shoulders and ALSO a good heart, which counts for so much. Your best president since Bill Clinton.

I like Obama. And i think it’s awesome that he does stuff like this because it makes him more personable and it’s like he’s just trying to show he’s a normal person like us.

Bush on the otherhand, didn’t even know how to check out of a supermarket. So if he was trying to be like this, he should be booed off the stage because it would be fake.

it’s not as if Obama joined in on the singing or anything ridiculous. He was basically giving a speech and it was fallon who was making it funny. He’s just trying to be light-hearted and i rather have him then some of the idiotic republicans running for president. seriously.

Jimmy Fallon is so freakin cool! First of all he has The Root as his house band. How awesome is that? Then, he friends with Bruce Springsteen and has him on the show doing parodies of popular song as music legends. Now, he not only has the President of the United States on his show, but he has him slow jamming. Jimmy, I love you!

Can we switch our President, come on, take Sarkozy, he hates us, he is dying for being american, and we just love Obama !

Every Congressman needs to explain why they are raising student loan rates, or if they have ties to corruption in loan process.

He just continues to diminish the role of the President. I heard someone say, oh, this means he will definitely get the youth vote…this is what our country has become.

Americans will have to choose this year between the cool homecoming king, or the nerdy class president. I think

Only the conservative garbage is being allowed, I guess?
Any intelligent comments are being “moderated”.
    What’s gong on, JJ?

  17. 17
    @15 Says:

No, it’s between the nerdy class president who is only out for himself and big corporations who want the freedom to pollute at will, and the INTELLIGENT man who is trying to ease the burden of the working class, and building for a future for our children.

    Gossipgirl Says:

@Lauren Parks: You know that Repubs are idiots because….you are looking in the mirror? This line is so tired and factual inaccurate and plain simple. The same old Dem line; we smart, conservatives stupid…..I am glad the Prez is having a good time time and being just like us and more personable blah, blah, blah…while the country burns. I have been unemployed for almost a year and frankly, I don’t give a **** how personable the Prez is. I don’t want him to be like me, I don’t want him to be cool….I want him to do his damn job!

This clown needs to go ASAP!

    Gossipgirl Says:

@goobama: You should do your homework. The President, then Senator Obama missed two votes on the student loan rate back in 2008 because he was busy campaigning. Now he cares about you because he needs your vote. Wake up!

  21. 21
    Lisa Says:

    @Gossipgirl: You are sooooooo RIGHT

  22. 22
    Stan Says:

Bye bye Obama THE MARXIST TWIT roll on to November

  23. 23
    Chloe Says:

@Gossipgirl: Well, onus is on you to find a job, do something about your life. Sitting around mopping and blaming the president for not doing his job, when you are not doing yours, seems like the least reasonable thing to be doing ain’t it.

  24. 24
    Well Says:

One unfortunate thing learned from Obama’s election is that the Left is just as unreasonable, stubborn and idiotic as the Right in their blind support and refusal to think critically.

  25. 25
    porknpie Says:

Jimmy Fallon is just another selfish and self centered egomaniac like most other celebs, he will take up anyone’s time, even the damn President in this failed economy …. So impressive ! !
