President Obama Slow Jams the News on 'Fallon'

President Obama makes an appearance on Tuesday’s (April 24) Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

“I want to slow jam the news and I’m not the only one,” Jimmy told the crowd as the commander-in-chief hit the stage.

“I’m President Barack Obama and I, too, want to slow jam the news,” he said before discussing Stafford student loans with house band The Roots in the background.

“Now is not the time to make school more expensive for our young people,” Barack said.

“Ohhh yeahhh, you should listen to the president,” Jimmy chimed in. “Or as I like to call him, the Preezy of the United Steezy.”

I’m sorry, I thought he was our president, not a celebrity. Is anybody seeing the hypocrisy here? If Bush had gone on a late night talk show with the economy this bad, he would have been “booed” off stage. Sigh. Pathetic.

I like Obama a lot – he has a good head on his shoulders and ALSO a good heart, which counts for so much. Your best president since Bill Clinton.

I like Obama. And i think it’s awesome that he does stuff like this because it makes him more personable and it’s like he’s just trying to show he’s a normal person like us.

Bush on the otherhand, didn’t even know how to check out of a supermarket. So if he was trying to be like this, he should be booed off the stage because it would be fake.

it’s not as if Obama joined in on the singing or anything ridiculous. He was basically giving a speech and it was fallon who was making it funny. He’s just trying to be light-hearted and i rather have him then some of the idiotic republicans running for president. seriously.

Jimmy Fallon is so freakin cool! First of all he has The Root as his house band. How awesome is that? Then, he friends with Bruce Springsteen and has him on the show doing parodies of popular song as music legends. Now, he not only has the President of the United States on his show, but he has him slow jamming. Jimmy, I love you!

Do I step in Romney poo
or
Obama poo
in November
either way it’s a mess

That was wonderful! Really great, he’s a great president and he’s hilarious. So happy that Jimmy Fallon did this, it’s awesome!

He is so sooo cool.
Can we switch our President, come on, take Sarkozy, he hates us, he is dying for being american, and we just love Obama !

Every Congressman needs to explain why they are raising student loan rates, or if they have ties to corruption in loan process.

down the road when all of our freedoms are lost and you are lucky to eke out a living remember the dude who helped bring you there could sing and entertain

He just continues to diminish the role of the President. I heard someone say, oh, this means he will definitely get the youth vote…this is what our country has become.

Americans will have to choose this year between the cool homecoming king, or the nerdy class president. I think

interesting @ 04/25/2012 at 12:38 pm

Only the conservative garbage is being allowed, I guess?
Any intelligent comments are being “moderated”.
What’s gong on, JJ?

No, it’s between the nerdy class president who is only out for himself and big corporations who want the freedom to pollute at will, and the INTELLIGENT man who is trying to ease the burden of the working class, and building for a future for our children.

Gossipgirl @ 04/25/2012 at 12:45 pm

@Lauren Parks: You know that Repubs are idiots because….you are looking in the mirror? This line is so tired and factual inaccurate and plain simple. The same old Dem line; we smart, conservatives stupid…..I am glad the Prez is having a good time time and being just like us and more personable blah, blah, blah…while the country burns. I have been unemployed for almost a year and frankly, I don’t give a **** how personable the Prez is. I don’t want him to be like me, I don’t want him to be cool….I want him to do his damn job!

Carbon Copy @ 04/25/2012 at 12:52 pm

This clown needs to go ASAP!

Gossipgirl @ 04/25/2012 at 12:54 pm

@goobama: You should do your homework. The President, then Senator Obama missed two votes on the student loan rate back in 2008 because he was busy campaigning. Now he cares about you because he needs your vote. Wake up!

@Gossipgirl: You are sooooooo RIGHT

Bye bye Obama THE MARXIST TWIT roll on to November

@Gossipgirl: Well, onus is on you to find a job, do something about your life. Sitting around mopping and blaming the president for not doing his job, when you are not doing yours, seems like the least reasonable thing to be doing ain’t it.

One unfortunate thing learned from Obama’s election is that the Left is just as unreasonable, stubborn and idiotic as the Right in their blind support and refusal to think critically.

Jimmy Fallon is just another selfish and self centered egomaniac like most other celebs, he will take up anyone’s time, even the damn President in this failed economy …. So impressive ! !

Don’t blame this president for your being out of a job. Blame the last adminitration that plunged this country into a recession.

President or Chief Distractor? @ 04/25/2012 at 2:42 pm

.

@sheesh:
Totally agree!

Well, when you don’t have a record to run on, and 4 years later the country is worse off, and now will face a debt crisis like Greece in the next 2 years, and the only thing you did was shove down the throats of the American people unconstitutional boondoggle healthcare law…………… then ah you try to become a celebrity and I’m the cool guy with the help of liberal Hollywood, and hope their are enough stupid celebrity obsessed voters to eek out another win.

@whhat?: Yes but your forgetting Bush is a moron, Obama is clever and cool.

It’s Obama’s Fault

@38cords: Obama is a TWIT.

Tell us why he is arming the cartels and ignoring the terrorists infiltrating the border for years…

Fallon is just another useful idiot for the marxist elites in the govt., media and showbiz.

@sheesh:

Actually he is doing a great job with what he has!! it will take longer then 8 years to get us out of a 8 year debt!!!! And he said that from the beginning…

@Carbon Copy:

Good the faster you leave the better :D

Whatever gets the message across right?? I find it so funny how people sit high on their ivory towers listening to Rush, Hannity, and Glen Beck scoffing at ” morons” who gather political information from “entertainment shows” such as late night shows, Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert, and also complain that political figures aren’t serious because they decide to go on said shows. Yet these people don’t realize that Rush, Hannity, and Glen Beck are entertainment shows as well, they are just different sides of the same coin.

Omigod, I LOVE that man (President Obama). He is so smooth. and Jimmy wasn’t so bad either, hehehehe! What a great night of TV! Give it up for The Roots as well. That was fun!

Watch and see @ 04/28/2012 at 1:03 pm

Six Trillion in more debt later , are OUR lives better?
