Rooney Mara Books 'Brooklyn' Role
Rooney Mara flashes a smile in Central Park while filming The Bitter Pill on Thursday (April 26) in NYC.
The 26-year-old actress, who might be replacing Carey Mulligan in an upcoming Spike Jonze movie, has booked yet another role.
Rooney is attached to star in the movie adaptation of Colm Toibin‘s novel “Brooklyn,” according to THR.
The story, set in Brooklyn and Ireland in the early 1960s, centers around a young woman “torn between her family in Ireland and the American who wins her heart.”

She’s so naturally beautiful…much better than picked and primped Hollywood majority
She has something to smile about. She’s getting some of the best roles in Hollywood!
Another great pick by Rooney. This was a great book and Hornby is a good screenwriter.
I hope we hear soon something about Dragon Tattoo sequels.
First time I’ve seen her smile.
She looks like much younger in this pictures, like a teenager. Maybe the hair.
She is the real deal and hasn’t lied about her age to get there..slow and steady:)
Good for her! She deserves to be booking a lot of great roles, she’s one of the most talented young actresses in Hollywood! And very naturally beautiful! Very youthful.
She was amazing in Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!
She looks lovely.
that’s what i love about her… she knows how to pick her roles and is unpredictable on her looks and styles. I love how celebrities become real chameleons on their roles… this is going to be something to look forward.
Worst celebrity hair I’ve seen in a long time.
She’s all lipstick and bangs.
Looks like Daniel Radcliffe in a very bad wig.
First time I see her smiling! She’s gorgeous!
I can’t believe Kate Mara is her sister…it’s like night and day.
Not her real hair, people – a wig for the film Her hair will be short until Sony Pictures and Columbia tell her otherwise (i.e. with Sony in the tank, at -6.4 BILLION for 2011, the very real possibility that there will be no GWTDT sequels – and I’m hoping there WILL BE. . .)
