Zooey Deschanel: Pantene's New Spokeswoman!

Zooey Deschanel has been unveiled as Pantene‘s newest celebrity ambassador!

“I am so excited to be a part of the Pantene family. Anyone who knows me knows that I am really into hair. I’m a real girly girl and love doing my hair and experimenting with different styles,” the 32-year-old New Girl star shared.

“Being a ‘Pantene girl’ has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid. It is really amazing to be representing the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Collection, the products are fantastic and Pantene also supports the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program which is a wonderful cause,” Zooey added. “Pantene is helping to provide confidence and beautiful real-hair wigs to women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment; you can’t put a price on that.”

  • ugh

    aging– zoom out
    chunky thighs– long skirt
    too long bangs– a distraction
    horrible voice–sings anyway

  • Wow

    Ugh, enough with this sell out poser!!

  • an opinion

    She is 32 years old. Even in doing interviews she acts like she closer to 22 than 32.

  • Santiago

    @ugh:

    You do realize you sound like an idiot, right?

  • Santiago

    All three of the previous comments sound pretty pathetic. I bet it’s from the same guy. Did she turn you down for prom or something?

  • pooey

    She needs to act her age. You’re not a GIRL anymore, you’re a thirty-two year old woman.

  • tired

    So much photoshop… Nobody in earth hast the hair like that and I don’t think there’s need.
    I’m so tired of unreal women and photoshopped photos of products for idiots…

  • summer

    and i bet everyone of you has never done anything wrong and you are all perfect in looks and the way you act.. there is nothing wrong with acting younger then your age, it’s called ‘having fun’. so sorry no one seems to meet your standards just because you have insecurities with yourself

  • Jane

    I can picture her annoying man-voice saying this, sounds like an overprivileged teenager. Man, Zooey. Grow up a little bit, please.

  • May

    She really cakes on the make-up

  • Anne

    I think this is strange considering that she has hair extensions. Her hair used to be thinner if you look at older photos. I guess Beyonce does hair commercials too and that is not her real hair.

  • cluck cluck cluck

    Santiago = armpit
    ha

  • Jane

    @May:

    Oh my goodness, I know! In pictures of her with no make-up or geeze, even LESS make-up, she actually looks forty years old.

  • Overexposed

    She was cute when she was younger. She got famous too late in life and is trying to hang onto that youthful look.

  • a real girl

    I’m tired of my friends being so obsessed with her. She’s a grown woman acting like she’s my age, it’s gross. I’d rather look up to Lena Dunham or Tina Fey or Amy Poehler. They’re just real, smart women. So tired of girls dumbing themselves down to be like “Jess.” Yesterday I had one friend name her car “Franny”, pat it on the hood “after a long journey,” tell it “well done” and then say “Oh my god, that was such a Jess thing to do!” and giggle. it made me want to slap her in the face.

  • Liz

    @ugh: So you took the time to post this comment for…what exactly?

  • zooey hates animals

    Pantene tests on animals! Including bunnies! What the hell, Zooey?

  • zooey hates animals

    @Wow:

    Totally! She’s such a sell out!

  • vanessa

    @an opinion:

    what’s wrong with being a kid at heart? ALL of us were once kids. don’t be upset because you can’t be happy with your inner kid.

  • vanessa

    what’s wrong with being a kid at heart? All of us were once kids. Don’t be upset because you can’t be happy with your inner kid.

  • Elana

    I don’t understand why people go on to pages like this and write such terrible things. Especially those of you telling this woman, who you don’t even actually know, to “grow up.” I’m sorry, but if you’re going to bash someone on the internet…YOU are the one who needs to grow up. Seriously people, get a life!

    I mean seriously, what do you hope to accomplish by comments like that? Zooey Deschanel’s not going to read what you’ve written and think to herself “Oh my GOSH, they are SO right! I’m now going to change my entire image and personality now, even though I have a huge following of fans that like the way I am! I am just so glad that they hate me so much.”
    Of COURSE she won’t say that. She probably won’t’ even read these comments ever.

    Seriously guys, it’s fine to feel that way about her, but you don’t have to project you’re negativity on others. I mean, just because you have to poop doesn’t mean it’s okay to poop all over everyone. There’s a time and a place. And this website is no bathroom.

  • Ace

    I agree with others who say she needs to stop acting like a girl when she is a 30 something year old Woman. It’s not cute, it’s just cringe-worthy.

  • Ace

    @Elana: Hi Zooey

  • trinket

    I love Zoey, she is so cute, but pantene? why? yes its affordable but it is so bad for your hair! Pantene leaves a buildup on your hair of petroleum product which is what gives the hair shine, its not making it healthy. Pantene doesnt even use their own products for their shoots either. It is a shame that she has decided to rep this product.

  • Riley

    “it’s just cringe-worthy” -Ace
    Agree, It’s creepy like a senior citizen wearing a low cut tank top.

  • Elana

    @Ace: Ha, I’ll take that as a compliment. But I’m not Zooey.

  • zooey hates animals

    @vanessa:

    Vanessa, shut up. Having an “inner child” and acting like one are two different things. “Inner kid” what are you, like ten?

  • KC

    Was the English Sheepdog look ever in?
    Maybe it was the early 80′s

  • zooey hates animals

    @Elana:

    You’re bashing the people bashing, YOU get a life. AND OBVIOUSLY she knows about these comments, there was a whole episode of New Girl dedicated to them. Apparently she’s smart but can still act like a baby and that’s supposed to be okay. NO, IT’S NOT

  • http://www.gordiecavill.co.uk Gordie

    Saddened and sickened by the news that evil animal testers have managed to buy off the morals of Zooey,
    Lets see Pantenes kitten cam and rabbit cam are a far cry from the image of cuteness on hello giggles

  • http://lujeannebrand Lujeanne Brand

    I agree with Elana, she’s so right in every way. I just happen to see a film with Zoey the other day with a complete natural translucent make-up look and thought she was beautiful and quite earthy. I dare each one of you who have such bad comments to share to have a career in performing arts and commercials and not put on any make-up and not go with how your image feel it should be. Imagine putting on tight cleavage clothing when that is not who you feel to be. She owns her look and it makes her pretty admirable and freakin successful, so i think you guys miss what it’s all about. She is just playing a role for goodness sake, she got cast in the add, not your lawyer roommate. Your roommate wouldn’t know where to start to think up an image and do all the necessary grooming to do that kind of job. Do you really think the hair and the make-up is who she is 24/7. Come on please!

  • .

    somebody ‘s in LOOOve

  • Laura

    Are people actually thinking she needs to grow up because she plays a young and ditzy character in New Girl? If you actually believe that’s her real personality and that she really acts exactly that way, doesnt that just make her a great actress?

    Plus, people are acting like 32 is ancient, I mean what the hell!?

    Even if she does act young in real life, good for her, its inspiring that she doesn’t take herself too seriously and enjoys herself a bit more than you guys, who spend your time writing negative comments on online articles…

    And seeing as none of us know Zooey Deschanel on a personal level I dont think we can really judge to be honest! As goes with any celebrity

  • wot

    @Lujeanne Brand:

    clevage clothing? lawyer roomate? what the crap? HAHAHA

  • Effy

    The only thing that bothers me about this is when she said ” …and love doing my hair and experimenting with different styles.” Hasn’t she had this same dark hair, bangs hairstyle for YEARS now?

  • whatevs laura

    @Laura:

    oh my god, laura. shut up. you don’t know her either and you’re spending your time writing negative comments about our negative comments. 32 is old to be carrying bunny purses and having besties and Hello Kitty sewing machines blah blah the list goes on

  • Laura

    “whatevs” haha, I think everyone is too old to say that!

    Ah, you’re right actually, sorry I didnt realise having fun, being interesting and having cute stuff had to stop when you hit 30!

    My bad, i’ll remember that for when the time comes

  • whatevs laura

    @Laura:

    “My bad” LOL

    I know I’m right. I’m right! You better remember!

  • you sound nice

    @whatevs laura:

    i bet i’d find your plain purses, standard sewing machine and lack of best friend really interesting, do tell us more

    also i’m beginning to think that talking about purses and sewing machines is a bit petty, are they the genuine reasons why you dislike someone?

  • Kelsey

    I love Zooey. Personally, I don’t adore celebrities, but I like Zooey because to me she’s genuine, and a strong female spokesperson who doesn’t sexualize herself to be famous. Rather refreshing actually!

  • “whatevz”

    did someone actually say whatevz while complaining about someone trying to act young?

  • Anna

    Agreeing with Kelsey! She isnt stick thin like a lot of cover girls and other celebrities, she has her own cute style and she has a natural look. So refreshing, good on her.

    Am I the only one who wants to know where to get a Hello Kitty sewing machine?
    Obviously i’m farrrr to ‘old’ to buy something like that though..

  • whatevs laura

    @“whatevz”:

    yep, just trying to fit in. w-h-a-t-e-v-S

    plus, laura I guess my comment is awaiting moderation. you might never read it oh well

    tired of you grown up babies.

    the whole idea of celebrity is messed up

    you care so much about zooey and she doesn’t give a crap about you. as with all celebrities. just stop defending them, it’s sick.

  • hey old lady

    @Anna:

    yeah, you’re so old. I’m surprised you know how to use the internet

  • Love Her!

    slurp slurp I love you zooey. I love your black dye job, your chunky little thighs, that hint of a moustache, those little pimples peaking out of the thick pale foundation, love it all.

  • Laura

    “you care so much about zooey and she doesn’t give a crap about you. as with all celebrities. just stop defending them, it’s sick.”

    I am quite aware that she doesn’t know who I am! I’m also aware of the concept of celebrity after studying it in psychology for a while now, and I do disagree with it, but it exsists, and negatively commenting on this aricle isnt going to change the fact that people become famous.

    Plus you cared enough to read this article, you obviously care enough to know a lot about her if you know about her actual personal belongings, and you cared enough to comment three or four times!

    Defending celebrities could be said to be pointless but only as pointless as saying negative stuff about them. That really achieves nothing.
    I was not really “defending” her to be honest, more just responding to peoples generalisations and ignorance. I would say the same thing to people critizing anyone for these reasons. Famous or not famous. It just so happens that famous people get coverage on websites such as this and therefore people like us read them.

    Maybe if you care that much you could write a letter to Zooey Deschanel explaining your dislike for her sewing machine and her purse. I’m sure she’ll take your opinion into consideration!

  • the egonet

    some people just do not understand the concept of an open blog or the meaning of “comment”

  • “slurp slurp”

    yep he has black hair, correct, not really seeing how that is an issue
    yep she isn’t stick thin, correct, not really seeing how that is an issue
    moustache? can’ say i’ve ever seen that..
    pimples? can’t say i’ve ever seen any either, i thought her skin was pretty clear. I don’t doubt she’s had them though, just along with around maybe every other human on the planet really..

  • blahhhhh

    @Laura:

    dang, laura. that was long. I skimmed it. okay uh huh I’m going to write a letter now okay, uh huh

  • hmm

    @ “whatevs laura” surely by reading an article on, and having an opinion on someone you dont know is engaging in the concept of celebrity?

    don’t act like you’re too good to be inspired by or to have a liking towards any celebrity
