@Kinnamanfan: Good catch. Big Blooper!!!!!!! Wonder who directed that one?

  • Canuck

The latest Sookie book just came out. Anyone else read it yet?

  • ladybug

@TEXAS SWEDE: These are rough cuts, the ‘blood’ is added in post production.

  • POGO

Im ready to watch it now. Eric and Pam together again. Yes. They are two funny together,

  • Lilla

@Canuck: I’m going to get it after work :)

  • Canuck

@Lilla: I had it pre-purchased via Itunes and so when I woke up this morning, there it was, just waiting to be downloaded.

  • Strange

    Bring it on !!!!!!!

  • Canuck

Anyone else got the urge to give him a big hug to make the look on his face in that photo go away?

  • Disney Villainess

@July: Yes!, Baby Yes! IMO, there’s nothing wrong with being superficial(in small doses) and with Skars, it just ain’t that hard to be.;-)

@Kinnamanfan: These are just the rough cuts, they add all the special effects and such afterwards.

  • TheEricaStar

Love him as Eric soooo sexy! Can’t wait for True Blood to come back.

  • Lilla

@Canuck: I should have done that. I’m actually nervous about reading it. I didn’t really like the last book. And yes, I’m on board for giving him some hugs :)

  • Canuck

@Lilla: Well, when you’re done it, ask yourself “Where is the out?”. I suspect that’s what’s going to happen in the next book. I won’t post spoilers, but there’s a bit in Ch. 8 that outlines motives. Think about it a bit when you get there.

  • Canuck

@Lilla: The look on his face slays me in this pic. He looks so sad.

  • Lilla

@Canuck: From what I’ve read through spoilers & comments, I know not to give up, its just going to be a bumpy ride? Is that how you feel?

He does look sad…we need to help him get happy :)

  • Canuck

@Lilla: Not so much rough from an Eric / Sookie point of view, but Sookie probably needs a nice relaxing holiday after how turbulent her life is.

  • Lilla

@Canuck: I’ve felt that she’s needed that since book 9. So, it’s worth the read in your opinion?

  • Canuck

@Lilla: it was much better written than the last one. It centers more around what is happening in Sookie’s life in relation to other people than to Eric. At first read, I was annoyed at the end. Then, after having read a few reviews and comments, I found myself agreeing that the conclusion that CH is trying to make you think isn’t where the story will actually go in the next book. So by all means, read it. And then go back to chapter 8 and read the motivations I mentioned earlier. If you stop and think where the issues are going to come from in the next book, you’ll find the “out” that CH is hopefully going to take.

  • Canuck

@Lilla: Also, chapter 9 where Bill discusses the motives of the deal with Sookie fleshes it out a bit.

  • Cafélady

@Canuck: I must admit, I’m hopelessly behind the schedule with reading the books..because after ‘dead and gone’ I had lost a bit my enthusiasm who I had for the first five books. But at least, I ordered today ‘dead reckoning’ at amazon…lol
I promised myself that at least I will end the series, even though the enthusiasm isn’t the same anymore like at the beginning…

As for the clip; interesting scene…fueled the appetite for more…lol
I admit, this I haven’t expected, because the last two epi’s of s4 were annoying in some ways.
But before every new season I can observe again that my ‘waiting sucks’-level then anyway is rising again…somehow….;)

“Where do I sign?” the sexy Skars smirked when Access Hollywood asked him how he felt about playing Christian Grey in Universal’s big screen adaptation of E.L. James’ bestselling novel Fifty Shades of Grey.

Holy hunk of Swedish hotness, we literally could not be more excited about the possibility of A.Skars playing this racy role. We’ve been saying for weeks that Alex is totally perfect for this par-tick role—he can pull off the bad-boy schtick (thank you, Eric Northman) but he also has that softer side to make the romance with Ana totally believable.

“I was born to play that part,” he admitted to Access with a grin.

Uh, tell us something we don’t already know. #Skarsgårdforfifty—let’s get this topic trending.”

Wow. Ted’s really pushing this one. I’ve got to admit Alex would be ideal for the role. I just cringe at the Twilight association.

  • ladybug

@TC: Ted may wish all he wants, If Alex really didn’t know about 50 Shades, he probably knows more about now and since he wants to expand his acting roles, not get typecast, I think that even if he were offered it he’d say no. I hope. Really hope.

  • Lilla

@Canuck: Ok, so chapters 8 & 9 have been read & I skimmed through the whole book. I think I get the ‘out’. It’s going to be a long wait!!

  • vanessa

    gosh eric is so hot!!!

  • Lilla

@ladybug: I hope too. I’m pretty sure he was joking during that interview.

  • Cafélady

@ladybug: To my shame I must admit, I have absolutely no clue about this book…lol
I believe I’ve never read it, at least not in english, because the english-title ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ says nothing to me unfortunately.
Also I have no idea of the story in the book, can you give me a little tipp about it please? May be that then I could decide better whether it sounds familiar to me – or also not.

  • ladybug

@Cafélady: 50 Shades was originally written as Twilight fan-fic. Having skimmed some pages, the writing doesn’t seem to be any better than Twilight.

“Let me be clear: There’s absolutely nothing wrong with “Fifty Shades of Grey” as a concept; erotic fiction can be, and often has been, beautifully written. It’s the book’s execution that’s problematic. Well, the execution and the characters. And the writing. And also the plot.”

  • Ted c

Ted c knows diddly swat about the dating rumor, not so long ago he said they were an actual couple, know it’s Charlize has other priorities in her life right know (Jackson)

    Dear ted

What exactly is the deal with my fave vamp Alexander Skarsgård and my favorite leading lady Charlize Theron? Is this relationship the real deal? Or is it more of a friends with benefits situation? Both their careers are pretty hot right now and with little Jackson to take care of, does Charlize even have time for anything more than some loving on the side? I need to know!

    Dear Needy:
Darling, you sound like you’ll implode if you don’t find out what exactly Charlize will be doing with her lips and love life for the next 20 years! Remember this: Charlize and Stuart Townsend were together a very long time not that long ago. Many people thought they would marry (including, for a time, Char and Stuart themselves). So, a year later, if Charlize wants to take her time with a hot stud like A.Skars, let her! And, as you said, she does have some other priorities right now like Jackson.

#27: I also really hope he doesn’t do it. The story could be worked with, it could be a nice movie.. but the whole Twilight-link makes me go, NOOO.

@Ted c; Ted changes his opinion A LOT. Which kinda proves he doesn’t know what the hell he is talking about, haha

  • ladybug

@Canuck: I haven’t read it yet, didn’t buy it this time, am getting it from the library. But that’s the impression I’m getting from some of the online reviewers (especially a couple who’ve read her other series) that they”ll be some initially freaking out. But calm down, and then redread it.

@Ted c, I can’t decide whether or not he’s walking back on the ‘CT and AS are hot and heavy’ or not.
OTOH, this is Ted, so even if that’s what he meant today, he’ll post something contradictory in the next week.

  • Cafélady

@ladybug: #32 Thanks for the link, ladybug.
well…sounds somehow like a person who admired the ‘twilight’-plots, but wanted to add something ‘more’ and first of all to add a little ‘polarizing’ stuff to it…lol…plus perhaps parts of the own (secret) fantasies (and one can suppose that very probably the -in the article-described situation wouldn’t have a chance in the real life of the author, I guess). …

The topic itself mustn’t be necessary always somehow anti-feministic – I mean it depends on the sort of writing, I think.
I remember that I’ve read years ago Benoite Groult’s “Salt on our skin” (if you perhaps know this) and it tended also a bit (just a bit!) in this direction I think, at least as far as I can remind on it – and regarding to the erotic topic. But of course, so far I can judge it (and how the story sounds to me) – no comparison with the genial writing of Groult’s book!

But all in all (after all this info and so far I can judge it now), I would say – yes, pretty probably that he was joking during the interview. lol :))

  • mforman

As much as I think we would all love to see AS as Christian, I knew he never would when he referenced that Christian has a sex chamber just like Eric. He has always said he doesn’t want to do the same types of characters or roles, so that killed it for me, he is already comparing the characters.
This is the first time I haven’t gotten the latest Sookie book, I was so disappointed last time, that I am waiting a while, until I finish the 50 Shades trilogy. I am in no rush to be disappointed again.
I cannot wait for this season, it is looking better and better with each new sneak peak.

  • ladybug

@Whycantipost: With a more than decent screenwriter and director, plus producer, etc you could get a good movie. And it would still probably be known as ‘that Twilight fan-fic movie/book)..

  • Cafélady

@ladybug: Pardon, I don’t wanted to injure someone’s (fan) feelings to this fan-fiction.
But somehow I don’t understand this description as a ‘twilight-fanfic’..I mean, at least ‘twilight’ doesn’t describe a violent relationship (with/o violent erotic-life)?! Ok, I haven’t read this ’50 shades’-thing…but from what I could read in the article, in that sense it isn’t really a comparison to twilight (unless the author of the article refers to bella’s a bit naive devotion to edward and this special sort of relationship itself), but else?

@mforman: Honestly -and with all due respect for your opinion- (which I appreciate very much!) but you would seriously want to see alex in a role-character who slaps his girlfriend?? (At least this was my conclusion after reading that article from ladybug’s link..) But possibly I interpreted something wrong…

  • ladybug

@Cafélady: It started as Twilight fanfic, but she tweaked some things.

  • mforman

@Cafelady—How are you? If you read the books, there is alot more to it than smacking around ones gf. It is about a dom/sub relationship, that is why I never understood the Twilight comparisons. No way anything like Twilight.
But there is alot behind this character and I would love to see him play a character that is so difficult and conflicted, he would kill it.
But after that article, and interview I saw I don’t think he will touch it.

  • LAPerfect

Call me crazy, and this probably seriously dates me, but I keep thinking about how hot a much younger Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger were together in 9 1/2 Weeks. If they could rework the story for Fifty to that level to give Alex something to sink his teeth into, I’d be saying, “Yes, please!” right along with Ted. I know, I know! *ducks*

  • mforman

I truly do believe that Ted C, knows nothing, he reads the gossip magazines and then rewrites what they do, adding his own ridiculous touches. He never has a true opinion. AS/tumor so perfect, AS/tumor so wrong, AS/CT perfect and hot and heavy, AS/CT both very busy and she just got out a long term relationship, and has other priorities, Ted C, what does he actually get paid for. The majority of us could do his job 100% better than him and give the people that bother with his column at least true things. I mean seriously we all knew he would back track, he always does.
Ted C has a very weird fixation on poor AS. I love reading the comments people post on his column, they also say things like, make up your mind Ted, stop making up stories, etc. It is truly very funny.

  • mforman

@Texas Swede—-How are you feeling? I hope all is getting better with each passing day.

  • maria

alguien sabe si alexander skarsgard ya esta en Colombia?

  • Canuck

@Lilla: Lol, that was cheating! Bet you went to the last couple of pages first…

  • Canuck

@mforman: The original story was posted online in a Twilight fanfiction category. The title characters were Edward and Bella. The physical descriptions match Edward and Bella. The lip biting thing… Pure KStew. Wearing chucks? KStew. The playing the piano thing? Edward/RPatz. There are times when she’s describing what he’s wearing that directly correspond with RPatz photoshoots.

@mforman: Thank you it is. I have been battling other things the last few days but that is another story…LOL. Definitely learned not to try to be a peacemaker for myself or anyone else. People are going to believe only what they want to believe. No matter how much evidence you give them. Not gossip but evidence. So I withdrew the offer of the olive branch and will never offer it again. I transgress.

I am feeling much stronger and sassier every day. I do not need the pain relievers very often during the day. And only sometimes at night. Still have trouble with sleeping at night as you can tell by post. ;) But that will work itself out.

My book did not arrive today as it should have so I am anxiously waiting for it.

I know Alex could play the part of Christopher well but I hope he was joking about it. And I think he was. He tends to be a bit sarcastic in interviews sometimes. To play that part would go against everything he has stated about wanting to not be typecast. He has stated he has been offered a lot of vampire roles but doesn’t want to do any more vampires right now. I hope he sticks to it. Now if they offer him mega millions to do it and it would help him do some projects he wants to produce I could accept it. Sometimes it stinks to know the business side of things and know that some things need to be done for money whether you really like it or not. I hope he gets better offers elsewhere.

  • Canuck

@TEXAS SWEDE: Let’s face it… If he starred in it, it would probably be a massive hit and that would likely give him enough box office credibility with the money people that his choice of scripts would expand hugely. That said, how much does he really want his first big HW movie hit where he’s in the starring role to be for playing a character whose personality is somewhat reminiscent of his breakout TV character?

He’d have a hard time getting away from it after that.

  • nom du plume

I agree, A.S. would probably say no to Fifty Shades unless they could convince a really good director to take on a project that would be borderline pornographic. There is a better role out there for him. A self-published novel on Kindle Amazon called St. Bart’s. Read the free preview and tell me the author didn’t have A.S in mind.
