Azealia Banks Performing at MET Ball 2012?

Azealia Banks is rumored to perform at the 2012 MET Ball on Monday (May 7) in New York City.

The 20-year-old rapper would replace Nicki Minaj who had been invited to do the event, but backed out last minute, reports the NY Post.

“I’ve been invited to perform for PRADA next week in NYC! Gonna b so lush!!” Azealia tweeted. “Let’s see what new songs I debut there! #metball2012.”

Azealia also tweeted that she’ll be attending the event on the arm of designer Alexander Wang, who’s making her outfit and shoes!

Both tweets have since been removed from Azealia‘s account.
