'Avengers' Passes $700 Million, Disney Announces Sequel

It’s official – there’s a sequel underway for The Avengers!

Disney CEO Bob Iger made the announcement during a conference call, calling the action flick’s success “a great illustration of why we like Marvel so much.”

The Avengers – co-starring Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and Tom Hiddleston – smashed its competition at the box office this weekend.

It has earned more than $700 million worldwide in less than two weeks – one of the best showings of all time, THR notes.

Be real funny if the sequel bombs on Disney.

I haven’t seen this movie yet but I really would have thought by now people would be sick of super hero movies.

I love super hero movies. Could watch them all the time. Avengers was pretty good but not the best super hero movie ever made. But solid enough. . Batman looks great and Superman looks pretty good. I am sick of 3d. I think that it takes away from the movie. It is also to dark.

Please have Tony Stark’s suit malfunction in midair. He is really the most annoying avenger ever!

The movie’s awesome, it deserves a sequel. Hope it’s even better than the first. There’s no reason to believe it won’t be (for now).

Don’t forget Cobie Smulders! She was awesome!

You forgot Samuel L. Jackson.

The movie was crap . YOLO

Aslong as Scarlett is gonna reprise her role as the Black Widow/Natasha, then I’m good.
