OlderMarc Jacobs & Ryan Murphy - Met Ball 2012
Marc Jacobs wears a sheer lace outfit at the 2012 Met Ball held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 7) in New York City.
The 49-year-old designer, who walked the red carpet with Lorenzo Martone, told reporters he chose his outfit because he didn’t want to go with a suit like every other guy.
Also pictured at this year’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit: Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy and his fiance David Miller.
Ryan‘s new comedy, The New Normal, was recently picked up by NBC for its fall lineup.
The show will center around a gay couple (played by Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha) and the surrogate mother for their children.

I don’t really understand… Marc, as well as these other famous designers, are famous for their clothing, but 50% of the time the clothing is beyond atrocious. What person in their right mind wears something as hideous as that? He just looks like an idiot. I can appreciate fashion, but not when it’s as hideous and stupid as that. Whether you are straight or gay, a man does not need to be wearing a dress. The only way he should is if he is in full drag. And what is with those shoes? And is he carrying a cluth? Seriously? Like I said, I can appreciate fashion, but he just looks so stupid. How does he think he looks good?
