OlderChloe Moretz & Johnny Depp: 'Dark Shadows' on Ellen!
Johnny Depp, Chloe Moretz, and Michelle Pfeiffer make an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday (May 8).
When the Dark Shadows castmates walked out to the couch, Chloe and Michelle both danced as most guests on the show do, but Johnny did not.
“When I’m doing the film and it’s choreographed and you’re in character, it’s alright. But in life, I’d rather swallow a bag of hair,” he said of his decision.
Pictured inside: Chloe and Michelle catching a flight from Los Angeles to London that same day and Johnny signing autographs at another talk show appearance before heading to the airport as well.
FYI: Johnny wore a vintage outfit on the show while Michelle wore a Cut25 by Yigal Azrouël jacket, a Jenni Kayne top, rag & bone jeans, and YSL shoes.

That was fun to see them on Ellen. I keep an open mind about the new Dark Shadows movie. More precise remake attempts have already happened. Still, As an original fan, I’m attached to the character of that original Barnabas because the complexity of his nature escorted the audience from a place of loathing him as a monster; to rooting for him as the hero. Here’s the song that should have been in the new Dark Shadows movie, but was not. If you watched the original series you will appreciate how the lyrics capture the “real” Barnabas. Do you agree? Johnny is a beautiful man. I like that he doesn’t bow down and dance. He’s too much his own man to do something he is not comfortable with. You can tell the whole interview process makes him uncomfortable. He covets his privacy. And I covet him!
