Peter Dinklage channels his inner Lannister on the May issue of Rolling Stone, on stands Friday, May 11!

Here’s what the 41-year-old Game of Thrones actor had to share with the magazine:

On finding serious acting jobs: “It was hard. I was wondering, ‘How am I going to pay the rent?’ You need the work, that’s how you make your living. But I’m going to play roles that are appropriate to my size – it’s all about how real it is.”

On hug requests from fans: “I had one yesterday. She seemed to be shaking a little bit, so I hugged her. She asked permission, though. Sometimes they don’t ask permission.”
