damn! 9 million? that’s LOW! i’m a rihanna fan and i was glad that Battleship was doing great WW but now it’s sad to see that it is a big FLOP in the US

it’s sad cause i really like Kitsch and Skarsgard and i want them to break out finally but this is the 2nd flop of the year for Kitsch so i don’t know now …

i don’t understand why the movie is not that bad sure it is nothing WOW but it’s a solid effort, anyway looks like Rihanna’s film career may not take off at all

Erm Battleship sailed through the UK about 3/4 weeks ago accompanied by a flood of sinking reviews…

Battleship is a bigger flop than John Carter. Lesson to studios; stop casting musicians. Lesson to musicians; stick to what you know.

Glad to see consumers are smartening up, and not just throwing their money at any “mainstream” movie with explosions and good-looking actors. I’m sure if this trend continues, movie studios will start making movies with great actors and plots (i.e. Avengers), instead of just blowing stuff up most of the movie.

    Aurora Says:

It really upsets me that this is now Taylor Kitsch’s second flop of the year because he’s a decent actor and I really wish he could breakout but let’s face it, this movie was bound to bomb. Explosions + Rihanna + Brooklyn Decker = F A I L

    look Says:

@Aurora: its totally absurd to give rihanna the fault for the battleship sales. she has the smallest part in it. you dont like her fine, but dont be so pathetic just because you like to insult people.

@Verity: same goes to you: its totally absurd to give rihanna the fault for the battleship sales. she has the smallest part in it. you dont like her fine, but dont be so pathetic just because you like to insult people.

IS she’s trying to to pretend to be a Greek Goddess…with this chains on her head?

@look: i’m with you. rihanna has such a small role, but some people want to blame her. so laughable. when people like to hate than no pathetic argument is to mediocre for them.

    Peapo Says:

Her breasts are so SAGGY for such small breasts and on such a young girl.

LEA is right, that girl needs some support, BADLY!

    ruux Says:

Rihanna has the smallest role LOL she just says “boom” “Ok” “who’s in charge?!” How can you blame her for the flop?! this movie floped because it SUCKS! the story is just stupid, it doesn’t even make sense! That’s why it floped, not because of Rihanna, lol!
You can not even tell if she’s a good or bad actress after watching this movie!

    hugt Says:

she looks like a model in those pictures… I don’t like it…I prefer the curvy rihanna.

    Aurora Says:

@look: Actually, if you would learn to read a bit more carefully I specifically stated that the cause of failure for this movie were explosions (meaning the plot or lack thereof), Brooklyn Decker, AND Rihanna. So calm your fcking t!ts.

  19. 19
    Oh please Says:

That pathetic excuse of a movie is a glad it bombed. But. Ondoubt she will will get roles. Cough fast and curious 6. They better learn from battleships failure. She isn’t the only one to blame but she wasn ou there for her acting chops. She was put there to get her fans to watch it and even they did.not wish to be subjected to that kind of torture. Can she do anything right????? She’s. It exactly a great singer either

    look Says:

@Aurora: wow i believe a lot of people call u classy? i see you need some help to point you on what you wrote. this is what you wrote –>”Explosions + Rihanna + Brooklyn Decker = F A I L” so i guess you should first learn to read your own absurd arguments.

    Actually... Says:

Regardless of how you feel about Rihanna, when most people see a movie where the promos heavily feature a singer, a model, and explosions, then they are going to approach with caution. It doesn’t matter how much she was actually in the movie, the previews make it seem like she’s in it a lot and that’s going to make people wary.
