Yes, indeed. Daniel got the shirts before his filming. He has pumped up his muscles for playing James Bond, and showed off his pumped up biceps and rock-hard abs while shooting it. This is why the shirt is too small for him. ;-)

Romance in the city! Loved-up Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz hold hands for stroll through New York
    PUBLISHED: 23:49 GMT, 24 May 2012 | UPDATED: 00:42 GMT, 25 May 2012
They are nearing the first anniversary of their marriage next month, and Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz look still very much in their honeymoon period.
The famous couple walked hand in hand as they took a romantic stroll through New York City earlier today.
And they both looked suitably stylish, with Rachel wearing a beige trench coat while Daniel sporting a navy blue coat and jeans.
Rachel appeared to be sporting a lighter, reddish colour hairstyle, which looked a little different to her usual dark locks.
Daniel will be making the most of enjoying a break with his wife – with the new Bond film coming up in the autumn, he will be busy on the promotional trail.
The film, released in October will delve deeper into Bond’s relationship with M (played by Judi Dench), according to director Sam Mendes.

He told website Collider: ‘We’ve gone further into their relationship… I thought it was a master stroke when they cast Judi (Dench) way back… because the character became this female figure, there was a maternal aspect to it.
‘There was much more complexity in the relationship and I think we’ve taken that a little further.
‘Judi, to me, is one of the great actors of the English-speaking world and so it’s a question of – what can we give her that will take her to another level we’ve never seen her before?’

Spanish actor Javier Bardem plays villainous character Raoul Silva, who has been described as ‘more than a villain’.
The upcoming film stars French actress Bérénice Marlohe and Brit star Naomie Harris.
Marlohe plays the ‘glamorous and enigmatic’ Sévérine, while Harris plays a field agent called Eve.

    Britt-Marie Says:

@linko: American plastic surgery continues to be on the rise overall. Minimally invasive treatments certainly top the list with Botox/Dysport and facial fillers. If someone would have asked me if women were interested in cosmetic surgery I would have said, ‘perhaps.’ I didn’t have any idea that Rachel has an interest bordering on obsession. She is not the type who has obsessions with anti-age. She became more and more beautiful over the past year.

It’s weird to see these two together. It seemed like only yesterday that they were both engaged to other people. I guess since they were both engaged for a very long time to their previous significant others and never actually got married they were never meant to be.
They do look good together but still weird that they are a couple.

  43. 43

@MeMyself&I: It’s NOT weird!! You are a formal and conservative person with old-fashioned views or a person whose field of vision is narrow. Time is not important: only life is important. No human situation is simple as you say.

    Guinness--nice Fio-thx Says:

    hey–just missed you men-doll!!!
PIgs Ear, Brown Ale–Woodstock NH. awesome micro brew!!! what’s in your glass???? i like bottles or a frozen mug. what does Dan prefer—ooooooooo that is a great question–has anyone asked that? bottle or frozen mug or warm mug. ohmygash–warm mug o’Dan. yyyyuummmm. in the boob room. wow. tipsy here.
I wanted to comment on Whistleblower–i thought i critiqued it here already. anyoooo- yes, it is a movie that is difficult to watch–and another reason for men to think-”women want everything, there isnt’ bad thiings going on still in the world. especially in civilized society or one in which the UN is helping. dah. wow. the UN is corrupted by those who corrrupt, the organization in itself is for the betterment of man… we choose to use it is up to us…and apparently–men run certain aspects of it–? interesting. Her acting is well-overplayed–she is too beautiful and not enough range for this role. I don’t rate her acting very well here, but commend her spirit and commitment in making it. We know why Dan loves her so. BUT why didnt she go after him 10 years ago when that famous pic of them was taken—was he not popular enough back then? was he not as beautiful? oh, wait, they didn’t do a love/bed scene back then…hhhhuummfff. whatever. they were probly both taken then. or some other excuse they have. i just think he needs a Guinness!!! sorry Fio—that is my take on Whistleblower—great topic, commendable role choice, difficult to watch, she was too beautiful and not believable or tragic enough for the topic she took. Her face wasnt as horrified and shocked as it should have been—she only has one sad face…IDK. wtever.

I am liking his shades. and that wonderful popping shirt–and he looks as if he doesnt have time to worry about fashion and how he is supposed to look–hell he could be walking down a run-way in that pic–that is how fab he looks. hell, how come he has’nt made a guest appearance on a fashion runway??? for charity?? come on dan–you know you want it! JFC–we want it!!! Runway! Runway! Runway! Run-away with Guinness in the Dan Van we will visit Men-dawl! Fio–wtf you at?? over the pond?

    Rie Says:

I watched it with AXN Television Networks two weeks ago. Although I don’t want to give many spoilers.. This movie is based on a true story. I was so shocked as not to be able to believe whether it’s true or not. I think ‘Whistleblower’ and ’The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ ultimately treated the same issue. The main subject of both are the crime of forcing a woman to submit to sexual intercourse against her will. Whistleblower brought up more serious issue (it’s the organized crime, UN, the Department of state, Private Military and Security Companies, in the human traffic) and raised the very important question ー why are not they punished? You will be disgusted after seeing the movie, but Whistleblower is the movie too important to overlook. Rachel gave an electrifying performance, she always tries to put a lot of emotion into acting. And yes Guinness, she was too beautiful to playing the role, but I don’t care. The movie will be mistaken for National Geographic if her face is plain. LOL

cmon Daniel is really hell damn sexy, and Rachel is really beautiful and talented actress.. who doesnt need more??

  77. 77
    to ira Says:

I know what you mean.. but they lack the motivation to beat Brangelina fame, have no ’ambition’ like that at all. They are a very private person, so I’m convinced that they never want to become like a Brangelina,
    regardless of our own wishes.

    Fio Says:

Why I Love Him: I thought that it was time to bring in a male style icon, so who better than Mr. Bond himself. Compared to other camera-loving stars, the famously private Daniel Craig is hardly photographed, but his great style catches your eye nonetheless! I really love how Craig plays around with fashion accessories, like shoes, hats, belts and bags. In a world of t-shirt-and-jeans men, it’s a refreshing change. I also like that Craig isn’t afraid to dress up. His street style is classy and upscale without looking overdone, while his red carpet style is…well…it’s very James Bond.

Best Style Moment: I think his best red carpet moment was the Tom Ford tuxedo he wore to the 2009 Oscars (top centre). The midnight blue colour, the silk lapels and collar and the white pocket square were the perfect finishing touches to a perfectly elegant tuxedo. In terms of street style, my favourite moment was definitely the grey-blue grandpa sweater and white henley combo he wore in London (bottom centre). Love me a henley. That face doesn’t hurt either…

Worst Style Moment: While I understand the look that he was going for with the denim shirt and red scarf combo he wore to ‘LIVE’ with Regis and Kelly in 2011 (you know, the bohemian-French-artist-who-wears-kooky-scarves look), I just couldn’t get behind the outfit.

Defining Style Attributes: Fitted suits, accent accessories, aviator-style sunglasses, layered clothing and snazzy shoes.

    Talk soon,

    Guinness Says:

    Hi-yo FIO!
And Rie–thx for the shout out-thats all I can say–can’t change your mind it sounds like!! but I am glad you see the bottom line on all the movies you listed. If women were in power everywhere, would this be a different world? seriously–would we let our fellow women suffer so much? IDK. mothers whose daughters are still getting circumsized say that it is their turn–its tradition–there is nothing they can do about it? that is instilled by another woman–incredible.

crap, not my blog. i could go on and on and on. Go on, go on, go on, ok!! Drink! Fek!
wow beautiful days here on the east coast–wonder if Dan got some sunshine in.
What do you think of the Whistleblower?
OH–just read a very nice article in the NYTIMES about Naomi Rapace–her ex hubby is a bad guy on Skyfall–everyone probably knows that already–but he is a good looking man. And Naomi is in some great looking movies coming up. nice.
AND—did I read a while ago that Dan is really parachuting onto the Olympic field? And we didnt talk about it here? He is actually going to do that? not his double. and no one is asking about this? ok. that is strategically and security-freaky wild!
so, i got a sunburn and some serious bike-riding and softball in this weekend with the girls–shoulda came across the pond Mendel–whatchu doin???
IMAX theater–Boston for Bond. that is my next looking-forward-to Dan experience. Boston for Bond!!!

LOL! Sounds like you are having a great time!

I haven’t seen ‘the Whistleblower’, but will do so when I am in the mood for serious films, right now with our good weather, I fancy some comedy, something nice and light and silly…(and eat pastry ;)

“Run-away with Guinness in the Dan Van we will visit Men-dawl! Fio–wtf you at?? over the pond?”

Yes, come over to the Dark Side! We have good weather for a change! This makes up for our omnishambolic government…

“If women were in power everywhere, would this be a different world? seriously–would we let our fellow women suffer so much?”

Yes. I’m not just saying that because we had the ‘delightful’ experience of Maggie Thatcher, but unless women (together with progressive men) change the system in the process of rising to powerful positions, they would just adapt to what we have now and rule in the same way as men.

“AND—did I read a while ago that Dan is really parachuting onto the Olympic field?”

I’m still thinking this story was false – it sounded like an April Fool’s to me…

Daniel Craig Talks ‘Skyfall’ Costars And Javier Bardem In July’s Issue of Total Film Magazine, Highlight Hollywood News
Daniel Craig has proven to Hollywood and his legion of Bond fans and followers, that he’s a true A-list star, and a very talented leading man. Now with the new 007 movie “Skyfall” set to hit theaters on November 9th, the 44-year-old actor got in a little early press coverage via a feature in the July 2012 issue of Total Film magazine.

As for the topics of conversation, he had a no-holds-barred interview. Highlight Hollywood has seen a preview and Total Film got him to chat it up, something he’s notoriously not used to doing on the red carpets in Hollywood.

On Daniel’s excitement over the new Bond film:
“The talent we’ve managed to pull in this movie is phenomenal. You play football, you play with the best people, and then your game improves.”

    On his ‘Skyfall’ castmates:

“I have a good interaction with Berenice and Naomie – in more ways than one
Javier’s one of the best in the business. I’ve had to raise my game to work with him. And both Berenice and Naomie were just incredibly excited about doing the job. They’re playing two very different characters, but I have a good interaction with Berenice and Naomie – in more ways than one.”

    Javier Bardem on Daniel:
“Sometimes I see him doing days of 13 hours, and then after that I see him dressed with sportswear. I go, ‘Where the hell are you going?’ ‘To the gym’.”

Well, from the looks of things, Daniel doesn’t need the gym too much. He’s in prime and tip-top shape.

James Bond Named Top Movie Franchise Of All Time
After serving Queen and country on screen for 50 years, James Bond has been recognised as the top movie franchise of all time in a poll of film fans, beating the likes of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.

To celebrate the release of the long-awaited Prometheus, Ridley Scott’s latest blockbuster in the Alien franchise on 1st June, LOVEFiLM polled over 2,900 film fans to determine the UK’s most popular film franchise of all time. Almost a fifth (18 per cent) picked 007.

In a further victory for movie classics, Star Wars came second in the poll with 16 per cent of the vote. Fewer than 40 cinemas were originally willing to screen the first movie in 1977, despite the fact that the franchise has gone on to gross over £2 billion at the box office.

The epic Lord of the Rings trilogy charmed its way into third place with 15 per cent of the vote. The movies, based on J.R.R.Tolkien’s literary classics, may have failed to rule them all this time, but with two further sequels based on The Hobbit set to be released at the end of 2012 and 2013 respectively, the franchise shows no signs of disappearing.

Despite becoming the highest grossing franchise of all time, the six Harry Potter movies were edged out of the top three, flying into fourth place in the poll with 11% of the vote.

The connections of the Corleone mafia family were unable to sway the poll in favour of The Godfather, which came fifth with 7 per cent of the vote. The mafia gang were closely followed by the more family friendly bunch from Toy Story, the first computer generated feature length movie, whose trilogy earned five per cent of the vote.

Alien, which first burst onto screens in 1979, took seventh place in the poll with four per cent of the vote. The film has been deemed the ‘unofficial prequel’ to Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, with the action set to take place in the same late 21st Century fictional universe.

Timeless classic Batman, who made his first appearance on the big screen in 1943, leapt into eighth place taking the title of top comic book movie franchise, despite the recent release of Marvel’s Avengers Assemble, whose franchise came ninth in the list. Tenth place was boldly secured by Star Trek, whose eleven feature films took two per cent of the vote.

The top ten favourite movie franchises of all time according to members of LOVEFiLM are

    1. James Bond – 18%

    2. Star Wars – 16%

    3. Lord of the Rings – 15%

    4. Harry Potter – 11%

    5. The Godfather – 7%

    6. Toy Story – 5%

    7. Alien – 4%

    8. Batman – 3%

    9. Marvel’s Avengers – 2%

    10. Star Trek – 2%

    Other – 17%

Helen Cowley, Editor of LOVEFiLM, commented: “Despite tough competition from some of the biggest grossing film franchises, James Bond has proved his timeless appeal, which is only likely to grow ahead of the latest release, Skyfall, in October as we celebrate all things British this summer.

“We can become quite attached to characters and stories so it is no surprise that there is so much demand to turn a hit movie into a franchise.”

How sweet!! I know it will never happen, but I hope as Daniel also grows more relaxed he becomes more and more talkative :)

    Daniel Craig has shopping disguise
Daniel Craig wears a hat to disguise himself when he’s out food shopping.

The James Bond star is married to Rachel Weisz and they live together in New York City. They are famously secretive about their whirlwind relationship, although Rachel has let slip they enjoy picking up groceries together.

“Of for goodness sakes, no, no, no,” she laughed to the latest edition of UK Vogue, when asked if she feels too exposed to go shopping nowadays. “I don’t have any hassles at all! [Daniel] does [come with me], he does, he just, er? wears a hat!”

Rachel and Daniel had only been dating a few months when they tied the knot last year. They did so in front of just four witnesses and haven’t discussed the intricacies of the wedding. Rachel will only say she was “made a very beautiful dress” and that Daniel was “very sweet” on the day.

The pair got together not long after Rachel split from her fiancé Darren Aronofsky and Daniel’s engagement to Satsuki Mitchell broke down. They both have children from previous relationships, which Rachel has said is part of the reason they keep things to themselves.

“Look, there are other people involved, it’s not just me,” she said. “If I was a solo show? If I didn’t have a child who could almost read?”

Rachel’s friend the author Carole Radziwill has given an insight into the romance. She and Rachel spoke about Daniel when they met for coffee in Los Angeles and she is in no doubt they are meant for each other.

“I was talking about my rather dull-at-the-time love life when Daniel called her,” she recalled. “They spoke for only a few minutes and when she hung up she looked at me and giggled and blushed. At that very moment I felt they would get married. I knew it was a big love, real big love – and that it came with a face and body like Daniel’s?”

Rachel Weisz is considering having cooking lessons from her fishmonger.

“It’s something I want to do. I’d love to be able to get in the kitchen and throw in spices, but I need to know some basics,” she mused. “I was just at the fishmonger down the road and there were these langoustines and he said you have to chop off the head and the claws and sauté them with garlic. He was French. He said he might give me a lesson?”

Rachel is keen to point out she isn’t whingeing about her lack of culinary finesse. She hates it when people in a privileged position become obsessed by the things they can’t do.

Daniel Craig to leap from helicopter during Olympic Games

    June 03, 2012

Daniel Craig is set to open the London 2012 Games ceremony in true Bond style with a daredevil leap into the Olympic Stadium from a helicopter.

Three choppers will swoop down the Thames and under London Bridge before heading to the Olympic Park in East London.

To the strains of the James Bond theme, Craig will drop into the stadium on a rope ladder as a billion people watch on worldwide.

The nail-biting action will follow a short film by Trainspotting film-maker Danny Boyle, the artistic director of the July 27 opening ceremony.

In the movie, called The Arrival, Bond visits Buckingham Palace by Royal Appointment to be told his latest mission is to launch the Games.

The Queen personally invited Craig, 44, to take part and is rumoured to make a cameo appearance.

Boyle was given unprecedented access to the Queen’s private rooms to make the film back in March. But the Palace has kept details under tight wraps.

“Daniel Craig is determined to open the ceremony with a bang and he and the BBC producers have pulled out all the stops,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

“The world will be watching and they are happy to go to any length to make sure the stunts are as thrilling as possible.

“Not only are they giving us Bond, Britain’s most iconic character, but they’re giving us suspense and drama with the helicopters and the Bond theme tune.It will be unmissable,” the source said.

Nolan wants to direct to Bond Says:

Christopher Nolan Says He’s “Serious” About Possibly Directing a Bond Film in the Future
    by Adam Chitwood Posted:June 4th, 2012 at 2:31 pm
Though he’s currently focused on the release of next month’s closing chapter in his Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, fans are curious as to what director Christopher Nolan plans to do after hanging up the Batcape for good. He was mentioned in connection with Warner Bros.’ The Twilight Zone reboot before Matt Reeves landed the job, but his named hasn’t been firmly connected to any other upcoming projects as of late. He was long developing a film about Howard Hughes before Martin Scorsese’s The Aviator put Nolan’s project on hold, but last year we learned that the director might be reviving the film with an eye towards beginning production once he finished The Dark Knight Rises.

A new interview with the director now reveals that the Howard Hughes pic is essentially dead, but Nolan mentions his willingness to take on a franchise of a different sort in the future: James Bond. Hit the jump for more.

In a new interview with Empire Magazine (via The Playlist), Nolan revealed that the Howard Hughes film is off the table, adding that he “managed to find another wealthy, quirky character who’s orphaned at a young age.” That said, the director mentioned that he’s a long-time fan of the James Bond series and reiterated that “he’s serious about the prospect” of directing an entry in the long-running franchise.

Nolan has made comments about his interest in Bond before, but he reveals in Empire that he’s already met with the franchise’s producers at some point in the past. A Nolan-helmed Bond film might be a ways off, though, as the director added this bit about his potential involvement:

“It would have to be the right situation and the right time in their cycle of things.”

The folks over at The Playlist point out that this most likely means Nolan is interested in rebooting Bond instead of picking up where another director has left off and following suit. It’s not hard to see the franchise’s influence on Nolan’s films, with the director admitting that the snow-set final action sequence in Inception draws specifically from On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

I’d love to see what Nolan would do with the James Bond universe, but it certainly sounds like it could be some time before “Nolan Bond” comes to fruition. Moreover, the current tone of the franchise isn’t entirely dissimilar to Nolan’s films, so I don’t know how much of a “reboot” Nolan could bring to the series. It’s also worth nothing that Nolan would be incredibly expensive. Steven Spielberg lobbied to direct a Bond film early in his career only to be shot down, then once he became a household name he candidly admitted that it’d cost too much to have him direct an entry in the series. Nolan’s recent filmography can be found towards the top of the all-time grossers list, so you can bet that his starting price isn’t cheap.

It’ll be interesting to see what project Nolan decides to tackle after closing out his hardened Batman series, but I would definitely look forward to seeing him take on the Bond franchise at some point in the future should the prospect arise.

No respect for Rachel who is his wife.

[quote="tampa"]THere seems to be a “thought police” thing going on sometimes where one is not allowed to say anything nice about Sats or anything at all critical about Rachel. Sorry. But there are some of us on this site which again is a DC site, not a RW site, who admired Sat’s total devotion to DC and there are some of us on this site that worry about Rachel’s priorities which usually seem to leave DC behind. life is about choices, and I have feared from the very beginning of DC/RW that Rachel’s fierce ambition will leave DC constantly alone and eventually miserable. He has been spoiled with women who made him their priority and Rachel’s endless absense from him is not going to age well.

And don’t post about how career women have every right to also be devoted to their careers. That is NOT what this is about. Marriage is about shared sacrifices but it is very clear to me that DC has made ALL of the sacrifices in this marriage. He has sacrified more kids (and I read interviews from years back where he said he wanted more kids), he has sacrificed his home, family and friends in London to live in NY, he has sacrifced his beloved beach vacations where we saw him constantly with Heike and Sats when he was on a break. And probably most of all he has sacrificed companionship given that Rachel is off on location about 90% of the time.

So bash away. Either the scales will fall from the infatuated DC’s eyes (and the Rachel lovers on the site) and he will get fed up with being constantly alone and living on a plane trying to be with her, or RW will need to start giving 50/50 to this marriage. So far, it seems to be Daniel doing all the sacrificing. At the rate Rachel is going, one wonders if she will bother showing up for DC’s opening the Olympics because promoting Bourne as usual will be her priority. We’ll see. Hope to heavens for his sake I’m wrong. And DON”T attack me for being a Sat’s lover. I never was, ain’t now. I honestly believe DA did not want to marry her for this very reason. There has been speculation that The Wire actor could take over from current 007 Daniel Craig. Idris has previously expressed an interest in the iconic role and has now revealed that people constantly tell him he would be perfect for the franchise.

“I keep getting asked about James Bond and that surprises me. At first, I was like, ‘Oh, that’s cool, but it’s just a rumour.’ But, I’ve had really long discussions with fans about why they think I would be perfect, why it would be revolutionary and why I should do it,” he told movie website Collider. “It’s quite deep. If the fans have any power, I’ll probably be the next James Bond, but I don’t think that’s how they do it.”

Idris is currently promoting Prometheus, directed by Sir Ridley Scott.

He was thrilled to work on the new sci-fi movie and has compared the experience to competing at the Olympic Games.

“Being able to work with Ridley Scott on this film is like being able to play on the Olympic team for actors,” he explained. “He brings in the people that do their job.”

Idris is also preparing to play Nelson Mandela in a big-screen adaptation of the South African leader’s autobiography, Long Walk to Freedom. He is determined to do a good job and says this is the greatest achievement of his career so far.

Exclusive: Bond on inspirations and the MGM crisis
Total Film caught up with Daniel Craig recently on the set of new Bond film Skyfall.

Though plot details were still tightly under wraps, we did manage to wrestle some information about the film from the star.

You can read the full interview in the latest issue of Total Film, or on our brand new interactive iPad edition, but here’s a taster of what he had to say about 007′s 23rd big screen outing…

How did you and director Sam Mendes decide on Skyfall’s tone?
I reread the books, he read the books, we watched the movies, we talked about the Roger Moore movies, the Sean Connery movies, the whole thing. There’s a sort of tone that’s in all those movies that you can’t try to recreate. If you do, then it’s a pastiche. Neither Sam nor I want to make a pastiche of an older movie. But you have flavours of it.

On prepping Skyfall during the MGM crisis, Craig said:

“The MGM thing was a silver lining situation where, for the first time, we had a lot of time to work on the script. We weren’t publicly allowed to say we were doing anything, but we were secretly meeting. It wasn’t full bore until everything was given the green light, but we were very optimistic it would happen.”

Skyfall opens in the UK on 26 October 2012.

Craig won’t recreate old Bond movies
    Updated: 09:40, Saturday June 9, 2012

Daniel Craig doesn’t want to try and recreate old Bond movies.

The actor is to play 007 for the third time in the 23rd Bond movie, ‘Skyfall’, and while he has looked at old films to give him inspiration, he wants the suave spy’s latest outing to be something new.

Speaking about the highly-anticipated ‘Skyfall’ – which is being directed by Sam Mendes – Daniel said: ‘I reread the books, he read the books, we watched the movies, we talked about the Roger Moore movies, the Sean Connery movies, the whole thing. There’s a sort of tone that’s in all those movies that you can’t try to recreate. If you do, then it’s a pastiche. Neither Sam nor I want to make a pastiche of an older movie. But you have flavours of it.’

Daniel also revealed the recent problems with studio MGM – which put filming back – helped ‘Skyfall’, as it gave everyone more time to work on a better script.

He told Total Film magazine: ‘The MGM thing was a silver lining situation where, for the first time, we had a lot of time to work on the script. We weren’t publicly allowed to say we were doing anything, but we were secretly meeting. It wasn’t full bore until everything was given the green light, but we were very optimistic it would happen.’

    ‘Skyfall’ opens later this year.

Many scoffed at the thought that James Bond would be making a big appearance at the 2012 London Olympics, but Daniel Craig‘s 007 will be making a big splashy entrance at the Games next month plus footage of the helicopter stunt for Danny Boyle’s ‘The Arrival‘ hits.
This weekend Londoners were treated to a low flying helicopter stunt through London bridge for Danny Boyle’s ‘The Arrival‘ film which is being shot for the 2012 Olympics next month. Daniel Craig will be making a big James Bond ‘Skyfall‘ entrace by arriving on a helicopter rope ladder with his theme song playing loudly. It was leaked in April that 007 would be making an appearance at the Olympics and Queen Elizabeth would be making her own big screen debut which caused many to roll their eyes at what sounded absurd. Naturally, when you’re dealing with a filmmaker like Danny Boyle, and the latest James Bond movie ‘Skyfall’ is being promoted, this doesn’t sound so crazy after all. The filming over the weekend proved the naysayers wrong as Craig was flown in the helicopter shooting it flying down the Thames and through Tower Bridge before heading to Olympic Park in East London.
Before Bond makes his entrance, Boyle’s ‘The Arrival’ will show him at Buckingham Palace being given his next mission which is to launch the Olympics. Boyle was given unprecedented access to the Queen’s private rooms to make the film back in March, but the Palace has kept details under tight wraps as expected. It’s been rumored that the Queen will make a cameo which has become more of a reality since that would definitely push the opening of the Games well over the top to match Craig’s entrance.

“Daniel Craig is determined to open the ceremony with a bang and he and the BBC producers have pulled out all the stops. The world will be watching and they are happy to go to any length to make sure the stunts are as thrilling as possible. Not only are they giving us Bond, Britain’s most iconic character, but they’re giving us suspense and drama with the helicopters and the Bond theme tune. It will be unmissable,” a source has told the London papers.

That truly would make for a memorable opening Games Ceremony.
