OlderJessica Sanchez: PBS Memorial Day Concert!
Jessica Sanchez belts out a song during the 2012 PBS National Memorial Day Concert at the U.S. Capital, West Lawn on Saturday (May 26) in Washington, DC.
The 16-year-old American Idol runner-up, whose father is a U.S. veteran, will perform the National Anthem and the Celine Dion/Andrea Bocelli song “The Prayer” at the event.
The day before, Jessica and her mom Editha arrived in the nation’s capital.

She should have won on AI she was the best singer by far. Much better singer that Petter Philips, people say phillips is original, but he tries to copy Dave Matthews and Seattle guitar performers. He doesn’t have a voice only good looks. I think the judges declared him a winner because of his kidney problems, that to me sounds more like charity than fair singer judging.
I honestly think Jessica was overlooked because of she is not that beautiful, that is so incredibly said and unfair.
I wont be watching idol next season. The winner was the least talented singer in the competition and he won because he flirted with J-ho

Jessica Sanchez is for real. And hello, she is just 16 to even be bothered with pieces of advice from us. She ought to listen to her parents. Jessica is still young and very impressionable. I hope nobody’s opinion would make her hate herself or change what is naturally her.

American idol needs to raise the age of entrance to at least 18 years of age. At 16 years old this girl doesn’t even know what genre she wants to sing, she is so young and immature and BTW, her voice isn’t all that great. America decided to get rid of her a few back but the judges “saved” her so why is everyone so surprised that she didn’t win the contest in the end?
