ITAWY! If she manages to get him to the altar, good for her. Actually, if anyone could achieve this is someone young and gorgeous like Madalina. You are all speculating it’s what she is. Maybe she is willing to end her career to be married to him and the two of them will be a team? They can be a force to be reckoned with in HW. A power couple. The only thing I don’t understand about this relationship is what you said before, why would he make his GF/wife a woman that’s been with his friends already? Does he possess any male pride? The only thing I could come up with is this article where she says her and Leo was just a PR thing. So either she didn’t have sexual relations with Leo, or maybe GB is also just PR? Did anyone consider Madalina PR? The whole thing is super skeevy. The huge age difference, the fact that she’s already “dated” two other middle-aged Hollywood manhoes, and one of them a close friend of GB! Yuck. That’s too close for comfort.

Let’s not go that far. My instincts tell me she’s a dodgy famewh**re, but she’s a beautiful one that I think he’s fallen for hard. So I wish them luck, because being in love is a wonderful thing, but not with a person you can’t really trust. And beneath both their lovely exsteriors belays very strong qualities of duplicity, vainity, selfishness, shallowness and untrustworthiness. So on the surface they may look gorgeous, but underneath if they stay together and I don’t think it will be pretty. Let’s hope they’re kind and respectful to each other, the way two grown up decent people who geniunely care for one another try very very hard to be.

I don’t think there’s anything surprising about this from GB’s point of view. Does anyone really think that whoever he dates isn’t going to be young and hot? After the Brandi thing, I would have thought he’d be a little more selective than someone Leo was hooking up with six months ago (you know crude terms like “sloppy seconds” and “hand-me-down” will be used by some gossip sites). But whatever. This really surprises me from Madalina’s perspective. After the reports about Leo and Adrien, I would have thought she’d steer clear of any HW actor so that she doesn’t become known as a fame-seeking, actor-hopping model. Even if this ends up being a real relationship (which would be nice), she’s still just going to be known as Gerard Butler’s girlfriend, and any further success she has is going to be seen as having come to her through him. It just seems like an odd thing for a young model interested in her own career to do. Maybe she’s willing to risk all of that to be GB’s girlfriend. If so, and he’s game, I’m happy for them both.

Look. Weren’t they invited to join a barbeque with a group of folks they didn’t know. Gerry obviously knew they would know who he was and that he had a date…and that someone there would leak the news.

I don’t feel bad for him or his date. They definitely knew what would happen. This may be real. This may be PR. But, make no mistake. The “leak” is on purpose. This pairing is new/exciting and he was due for a “relationship” (it’s been 2 years since Laurie, right?)

Now, remind me again, when is he supposedly filming again. Are any of his proposed projects giving a solid start date?

I’m no expert, but I’d say G played hard, covering a good area, and with great stamina. Someone tweeted ‘workhorse’ which summed him up for me. But he didn’t have enough sprinting speed or ball skills or positional awareness to make much of an impression. There were times he should have run into gaps to take a pass or tackle and didn’t. Hr seemed to lack the confidence or gusto to do so. They kept him on a long time, and I think he had much more play than at Celtic,, but maybe because the replacement celebrities were poor. Row didn’t have many Murs, Williams, Wilkes, Shepherd or Jls boys, with junior/trial pro or semi pro experience. Afraid I didn’t register how Ed Norton played, but as he came on late I think not too well., he wasn’t familiar with the game.
Gerry did well, but it wasn’t the Gerry show like last year, so I’m not sure we’ll see him do it again.

I checked Moira’s tweets out of curiosity. Sure, this girl is entitled to interact with whom she chooses, thinking nothing of the ripples it would cause in his fandom. OK, let me tell you, the phannies are not in an uproar. Many are wishing her dead. A lot of them are posting here too. A friend of mine told me at WO some have discussed putting a curse on her, and they are jealous over the irrational fact it’s not them, wtf???? These older women screaming she is too young for him. Gerry looks hurt in the picture, not miserable. He knows his privacy is about to go to hell and he can’t stop it. He should have told the person who took it to delete the photo. But he didn’t do it because he knows it’s USELESS. If it’s not this photo it’s another one in a couple of days. He basically knew he lost the battle to keep this quiet. So stop using this stupid explanation you keep toting in order to make everyone believe he’s not happy. HE IS NOT LOOKING MISERABLE; HE LOOKS WORRIED ABOUT TURNING INTO A MONKEY IN A ZOO; A SPECTACLE FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO WATCH AND COMMENT ON. JJ posters talking about getting the chips and bear and using him for their thrills is low. They don’t have real lives outside of cyberspace so he is their source of fantacies, as well as their entertainment. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves, especially his die-hard fans. You are no fans, you are jealous vultures dying for his relationship to crush and burn so that you can still have him to fantasize about and still believe you can hook up with him one day. There is no sense of reality in you people and no sense of decency. All of you are selfish beetches. I couldn’t believe it myself. I know someone who’s a member of WO (a fan site) and she told me that some of them were talking about putting a curse on her so that Gerry will dump her. Some of them were talking about going to church to pray to God Margaret will stop him. Stuff like that. I don’t have more details. And all they do is talk about how young she is for him, and how he should date an older woman, blah, blah, blah….you know, someone that looks more like them and in their age group. OK, it’s obvious they are jealous of her, there is no other reason why they are going off day and night and I am not exaggerating; my friend told me some of them have been up for 24 hours straight or slept just a couple of hours since Sunday night when the first pictures and tweets came out after the soccer game. Anyway, the fans on JJ are no better. They are just as jealous but more vicious. If people just stopped the snarkiness and gave them a chance, there are only 2 tracks this could take. Either it becomes serious, or it will dissipate. No one has control over it, and saying ugly things is really low and ineffective. If anything, it might embolden him to protect her more and I can’t blame him. And when men become protective they fall in love harder. The best thing to do is to take a wait and see policy. As far as I know, he met his parents for lunch today with/without MG, it’s not clear. Just give them a chance and whatever is meant to be will be. Things always workout like they were supposed to since the start.

–The complete opposite of that actually. IMO based on that Twitter photo and the others from Cannes of them posing together along with the Italian gossip/press generated . . . this situation could go either way. So far to my knowledge I have only seen GB in faux relationships for PR purposes so it would be a nice thing to see something real. I know what I think but I prefer not to share it with anyone.
