OlderAngelina Jolie Helps Launch Fight Against Rape
Angelina Jolie shakes hands with Britain’s Foreign Secretary William Hague on Tuesday (May 29) at the Foreign Commonwealth Office in London, England.
The 36-year-old actress helped launch an initiative that aims to combat and prevent sexual violence overseas by drawing “on the skills of doctors, lawyers, police, psychologists, forensic experts and experts in the care and protection of victims and witnesses.”
The launch event featured a screening of Angelina‘s directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey, which centers around the Bosnian war.
“It is in the context of war and conflict that sexual violence is found to the most appalling degree, and on a scale most of us cannot imagine,” William said in a statement. “[It] is an issue which is central to conflict prevention and to peace building worldwide.”

AJ is such an overachiever! stop making the rest of us look bad. jk! i’m always amazed at how she finds the time to do all this humanitarian work. she has a big heart. if only more women looked at her as a role model, instead of Kim Kardashian or Snooki.

very nice to see her. she looks so pretty. Love her smile, and her dedication to these causes. I like that her film is and will play such a role in helping women that have suffered rape and other abuse.

Thanks for the link. While WhamPon is here talking to her alter Angie’s out doing her thing and driving WhamPon further over the cliff. I think it pisses the trolls off even more that so many important people in powerful positions take Angie and the work she does very seriously. Angie’s changing people’s lives. WhamPon can’t even change her own diapers.
I think she is a good person because of her PR, in every single blog of hers you see the same comments loaded with information of the positive things magazines write about her. I say she is so in love with herself that she’ll do anything to get raves from critics and fans. She is not genuine.
