Adam Levine is crowned the new king of pop on the cover of Details magazine‘s June 2012 issue.
Here’s what the 33-year-old Maroon 5 front man had to share:
On his personality: “I’m fiercely independent, but I’m also terrified of being alone. I travel in a pack. I like to be surrounded, not just with my boys, but with family, too.”
On women: “There’s two kinds of men. There are men who are f—ing misogynist pigs, and then there are men who just really love women, who think they’re the most amazing people in the world. And that’s me. Maybe the reason I was promiscuous, and wanted to sleep with a lot of them, is that I love them so much.”
On enjoying the spotlight: “I love attention. I can’t stand not having it. It just has to be the right kind. To do what you love, to be with the people you love? That’s all I want. That’s the ‘kwan.’”

Maroon 5 are really not good any more. Songs About Jane was a nice, effortless first album. Now they are pretty damn horrible.

i think he means he respects women and doesn’t call them degrading names. that is about as far as i’d go in defining the difference between him and a misogynist. but is he hard to live with? that is the true test of whether he is a misogynist or not. has it made it that far in a relationship?

I’ve noticed that he always says really weird things in interviews but on The Voice you can tell he’s actually a pretty nice person and doesn’t have a huge ego. His interviews make him look like a d-bag.

I read the entire interview and all that stood out to me amidst everything else he talked on was his ‘true views’ on women. He loves women so much? No; he loves what’s between their legs so much.

If you read the entire interview, he was still with the girlfriend when he spouted that crap. I’ve a feeling when she found out the content, she wanted well clear before that hit paper. At least when John Mayer spouted off about all the action he was getting it was mainly with his fist.
