Russell Brand hits the stage as the emcee at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday (June 3) in Universal City, Calif.
The 37-year-old English comedian kept things lighthearted and hilarious throughout the evening, poking fun at everyone from Justin Bieber to his ex-wife, Katy Perry – “The last time I did an MTV awards show, I did end up marrying someone that was there. So tonight I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for my next wife!” he joked.

I don’t know… I felt sorry for the guy watching this… it seemed really forced and awkward. Like he was just delivering one liners and the timing was off. Hope it got better.
