OlderGerard Butler: Amber Heard Exits 'Motor City'
Gerard Butler drops his car off at the valet before heading inside the SLS Hotel on Sunday (June 10) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The 42-year-old actor has a handful of movies in the works, including Motor City.
The Albert Hughes-directed drama centers around a recently released felon who seeks revenge against those who framed him and put him in jail.
Amber Heard and Gary Oldman were reportedly set to co-star with Gerard in the flick, but Variety reports both actors are no longer attached to the project.

@Whatshedonenow: You’d think a hedonistic lifestyle would make him look younger. He’s also got some neck and other age-related issues that tell me he’s older. JMO. I think he’s at least five years (or more) older than he claims.
@Cirqueduidiots: Then how about all the elementary school photos that have been posted over the years…the group photos with other classmates? He was such a cute little thing. Wouldn’t all the peeps he went to school with know how old he is. This isn’t 1812, there are plenty of records on the net etc. No one in the public eye can fudge their ages big time anymore.

Drug and alcohol do age a person faster. I’ve heard that Gerry is/was a cocaine user so it’s his hard partying lifestyle that has done in his looks.
@really now: Are they date stamped? Never seen any interviews with any of his school mates where age was discussed. People still fudge on their age in HW, even now. Zeta-Jones anyone? No one believes her. There are aspects of middle age you just cannot hide.
@Cirqueduidiots: It was the heavy makeup and beard in 300 that made him look older. Have you never seen the videos and photos of him in sweats working out in the studio when they were learning to fight with the swords and lances? He sure didn’t look old then.

Nah. In my experience it’s generally has the opposite effect when you live that kind of overly indulgent lifestyle.

Cigarettes, alcohol, narcatics ,drugs, uppers, downers ,poor diet ,lack of excercise ,sun, lack of proper rest, fast pace lifestyle that maybe he has done will make a person age faster.

@Cirqueduidiots: Again there are enough people in Scotland including people who worked and went to school with Gerry WHO DIDN’T LIKE HIM or who’d love to knock him down a peg or two who would be the first to out him if he was lying about his age. Get real.

He was 32 when he did his first Bond but he looks more like 40 or older to me. Maybe it’s a Scottish thing. Or maybe someone is too used to all those pretty faced/baby faced actors.

@Cirqueduidiots: Show me someone who lives a hedonistic lifestyle and looks younger than their real age. We could probably point to a lot of younger Hollywood that already looks 5 -10 years older than they are.

Gerry’s hard living will catch up with him and could make him look older. Genetics plays a part too. Some people age better then others.

Isn’t it a well known fact that the real King Leonidas was more than 50 plus years old? IMO they would have needed to make Gerry appear older, with heavy beard, make up etc. to add authenticity to his role.
