OlderBlake Lively: Gucci's Newest Face!
Blake Lively has just been named the new face of the new Gucci fragrance Gucci Première!
“Gucci is a staple. It is a brand I have always looked up to because to me it represents strength,” the 24-year-old actress told WWD. “In their designs, in their images, in what they stand for philanthropically, and especially in their fragrance. I couldn’t be more proud to be working with Gucci and its heart, Frida.”
“Although she’s young, she’s also very determined, and I liked this spirit,” Frida Giannini, creative director of Gucci, added. “She knows how to be a diva in the right sense, with an aspirational glamour.”
Look out for Gucci Première set to hit stores in the U.K. in late July and worldwide in September.

Second if Kristen Stewart is the highest paid actress..why shouldn’t this actress accept endorsement deals..Stewart, Theron, Hayek, Olivia Wilde..and the list goes on of actresses who endorse fashion icons…actors accept deals SO again why shouldn’t she?
@sweetness: no one is saying she shouldn’t but there are a lot of other people who would have been a better choice (in my opinion).. i just don’t find her that fashionable. Gucci always reminds me of someone older and more distinct. Besides gossip girl and a couple of movies what has she really accomplished? she doesn’t deserve it yet.

i don’t know how to tell you this but Gucci really doesn’t care what you think. for what ever reason, they have chosen Blake. it’s a done deal.
This girl is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Her agent keeps getting her all these things trying to accumalate things in an attempt for her to seem like she’s IT but guess what, she isn’t. Kristin Stewart who loathes anything like this and all the extras of being a celeb is number 1. Now I’m not a big fan of Kristen but she’s proof that you don’t have to be freaking everywhere to be number 1. They are the same age also.

i saw “Savages”. i have to say it’s actually a very good film. Since I’m not an Oliver Stone fan I was very surprised. but what really surprised me is that Blake actually does a pretty good job in the role of “O”. But, really, how could she do otherwise when working with Benicio Del Toro and John Travolta,

I think the one thing that bothers me about her most is her claim to be so fashion forward and so proud of the fact she doesn’t use a stylist. In the one interview she said “It’s so much work” and that she sometimes wonders why she doesn’t have a stylist because it’s so time consuming. She makes it sound like she stays up all night and sews the clothes herself! she finds dresses then calls her people and they get them for her. Why is that a big deal? How is that completely different from what any other actress does?

I think she would suit better for brands like tommy hilfigher or even ralph lauren. Something more american would suit her looks better.
Considering there are several several nude pics of Alice Devall the new Chanel model available I doubt it. Nudity is not that big a deal in the fashion world. The contract probably just ended as is often the case. Haters keep grasping though.

FYI, Kristen Stewart is the spokesperson for a Balengia perfume, yep the girl who hates the fame so much that in the last year of Twilight franchise, fearing that she would soon be irrelevant, she suddenly finds fashion interesting and basically becomes the very person she hated being associated with what all the fashion shows she goes to nowadays just be seen by the paps lol
Kristen Stewart is same as Blake Lively, except at least Blake Lively was always interested in fashion and is not a hypocrite and does not pretend to not play the Hollywood games.

How come Blake Lively isn’t making the same money as Stewart? I’ll tell you why. It has nothing to do with talent. Both are mediocre. it’s who their agents are. In Hollywood the game is no longer who is the best looking and best talent, it’s who’s got the best agent, pr, manager, mentor, etc…. they are the one’s actively looking for the deals. Is Lively the best choice for a campaign like Gucci? Heck no but guess what? her agent/manager/whatever hustled to get a fashion deal because that is what is needed to make the public think you are fashionable. He pitched her to Gucci and they bought it. And that’s what Blake wants her image to be, fashionable. never mind she has that clueless SoCal look about her but that’s what she wants the public to associate her with. Same about her “boyfirends”
Kristen has an agent who knows how to negotiate deals and salary and roles in up to the minute films. Being in top grossing movie like the Twilight franchise gives the agent the world at his feet. He has an incentive too, as agent he gets 10% of what she makes in what he’s negoitated.That includes all other things like fragrances and ad campaigns.
Who cares about Kristen Stewart? Good luck to her, but WTH is this sermon about?

about alice dellal, it’s completely different. blake is always paying the nice girl image while dellal is playing the punkish brit girl. and that’s what karl was looking for : the rock chic. when blake was supposed to be the pristine girl and failed.

Oh and she attended the Pedro Almovador dinner as a guest of Karl L in October/November, so much for that arguement. And she has not appeared in ANY fashion/red carpet event in a while, no Paris Fashion Week, no Met Gala, no premieres or award show in several months, just stuff for Jason Wu. I’m confused, besides her 5’10” body, I don’t understand why people think she’s some profound and stunning beauty? She has a very average, pretty face. That’s it, nothing meant for high fashion adds.
There are plenty of talented, gorgeous, women in this industry to be chosen. Including actresses and models. And yet, Blake gets the job.
Hm. I don’t find her truly beautiful but she is very, very pretty and she definitely has charisma. She reminds me a lot of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy for some reason. But if I were running Chanel or Gucci, I would want Eva Green. Now she is high-fashion beautiful.
The current Gucci fragrances pretty much suck, they hope Blake will bring them some money but I really doubt.

90% of the comments about this woman, who none of us know personally are so negative. She is 24 yrs old and earns in a year more money than 10 average workers will not earn in a lifetime. She is a working girl who is talented enough to get hired in TV and movies roles, She has been on the cover of every major magazine, has access to the best designers in the world and endorses products. She has topped mens “100 sexy list” for yrs. , she was on Times list of influential and she is in love. Your opinon is important to you, but it is “FOOLISH” to think if you had the opportunity she has, YOU would turn it down!! God bless her
Well, I just can’t believe this. I just keep reading the abnoxious comments about her. The girl has class, beauty and knows how to get what she wants. I simply can not understand these haters. If you REALLY can’t stand this girl you should just f*** out of this page and live this girl alone.

Girls, cool it. I hate to break the news to you but the French fashion blogs adore her and think she is fantastic, a real fashion icon. The term most often used is ‘ravissante’*, ravishing. The Chanel ads are truly great. Check the Chanel Mademoiselle bags site and see for yourself. Louboutin would not send her the entire collection of his shoes if he thought that she did not do justice to his creations. One last thing: I like her make-up. It is never overdone and awfully shiny as it seems the norm with HW actresses.

Leaving Chanel for Gucci is a very dumb move , whatever the amount of money is , it’s not like she need it anyway .
