Carly Rae Jepsen Covers 'Billboard' Magazine

Carly Rae Jepsen takes the cover of Billboard‘s latest issue.

Here’s what the 26-year-old pop singer shared with the mag:

On her recent success: “Pretty much every day, there’s a moment where I’m having to pinch myself and think, ‘When did this happen to my life?’”

On music: “What I really love about [it] is that, despite all this craziness the creative process remains the same. And that same exciting feeling that I had before anybody knew me, when I was just beginning to work on ‘Call Me Maybe,’ is the same feeling I had today with RedFoo from LMFAO. You can sense the people who really have it are about writing that right word or that right melody to make it lift and make you feel that perfect emotion.”

Carly’s manager, Scooter Braun, on her determination: “I sat down Carly in my backyard and said, ‘This is not going to be fun. You’re going to be so tired.’ And she looked at me and said, ‘Scooter, I don’t care how hard I have to work. I’m going to do it. This is what I’ve wanted my entire life.’”

“You can sense the people who really have it are about writing that right word or that right melody to make it lift and make you feel that perfect emotion.” Sorry love, but your lyrics and LMFAO’s lyrics are neither inspiring or logical. Giving your phone number out to strangers usually ends horribly.

she’s where she is now thanks to Justin Bieber and his crazy fans, not thanks to her talent. Her song was out months long before JB & his friends did this stupid vid on youtube and it wasn’t a success then. They share the same manager!

I think she’s cute and that her “Call me maybe” was really catchy and I DON’T think that she needed Justin Bieber to become successful ~ success would have come regardless, it might have just taken a bit longer. The song was a hit, if it was a crappy song it doesn’t matter what Justin says, his fans might have watched the video but they wouldn’t have purchased her album.

But what I don’t get is why people have to hate on her (or anybody else for that matter), like come on… Who is anybody to judge her? Saying she can’t sing SHE CAN SING!! Not everyone has a high vocal range but that doesn’t mean she is less of an artist. Besides, if anybody is like me, those high notes don’t do a thing for me… I think her voice has good tone and I like how its kinda raspy.

And what I don’t get is why people have to hate on her or any other person for that matter. Like these “haters” are doing so freaking much with their own life. Seriously, you just need to get a life of your own cos your not going to become anybody important & successful if you dedicate your life to bagging on those who are already important & successful.

    Just my 2 cents:)
