Matt Damon gets ready for action in the first official still from his upcoming sci-fi flick, Elysium!

The 42-year-old actor stars as Max in Neill Blomkamp‘s long-awaited follow-up to District 9.

Synopsis: Set in the year 2159, where the very wealthy lives on a man-made space station while the rest of population reside on a ruined Earth, a man takes on a mission that could bring equality to the polarized worlds.

Elysium, which also stars Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, William Fichtner, Alice Braga, and Diego Luna, hits theaters on March 1st, 2013.
