Liam Hemsworth carries a backpack as he prepares to catch a departing flight out of JFK Airport on Monday (July 9) in New York City.

The 22-year-old Aussie actor has been in town filming his new movie, Empire State.

Over the weekend, Liam was spotted driving a Trans Am while shooting scenes for the drama which also stars Dwayne Johnson, Emma Roberts, and Nikki Reed.

The Dito Montiel-directed film is expected to hit theaters next summer!
