Nelly Furtado looks beautiful on the cover of Para Todos‘ July 2012 issue, on newsstands now!
Here is what the 33-year-old singer had to share with the mag:
On her career in recent years: “Oh my gosh, It has been an awesome ride. The last few years have been pretty incredible. I had a break after the Spanish record and it was fabulous. I loved every moment of that Spanish record, making it, promoting it, meeting the artists and winning a Latin Grammy, I never expected that, that was crazy.”
On if more Spanish music is on the way: “I’ve already started brainstorming for my next Spanish album. In Spanish I really want to come with a fresh Spanish record again possibly next year. I’m also working on a Spanish version of ‘Big Hoops’ as well, lets see how it turns out.”
On music today: “It’s changed, and I think it’s a good time for me to come out with a new album again because I am so eclectic, and I think the world has become more eclectic in music. All of my influences are so wide that now I think in the musical climate that we live in, people can understand my influences better and I kind of make more sense in today’s musical world.”

Well why would she do portuguese? it’s not a common language that people will know and buy. And portuguese music is different than Spanish music. Also the lyrics are como uma forca que ninguem pode parar :P which is correct portugues actually. :)
Just because she married a Hispanic doesn’t mean she can come out with a spanish album
I love her and I love her new song Spirit Indestructable. So good. I’m happy she isn’t doing electric like everyone else.

yeah i think the same, she could make an album in Portuguese due to her roots, but is a language more unknown, spoken in Portugal, Brasil, Angola and sure she speaks better portuguese than spanish cause her parents speak, but Spanish is more marketable, more known, a lot of countries speak and in USA there are alot of latins so, nelly do what you want, but it would be nice to listen a portuguese song
People, obviously Spanish is more marketable than Portuguese . Don’t blame her for it. Spanish sells, Portuguese don’t. Business is business
